Are You Ready For SPS On Polygon Network?

The whole Splinterverse is excited about SPS Validator nodes & license presale and gearing up towards it. Right now the validator software is going through an internet testing phase. Will be open for public testing within the next few months, with the "mainnet" planned to launch in Q4 of 2022. I am sure many of you are planning to buy them and earn more SPS on autopilot for running those nodes. Are you ready for some more good news?

After the successful launch of pHBD, the Leo Finance team is gearing up for the new vaults on PolyCUB. For those who don't know, it is a new DeFi Yield Optimizer platform on Polygon. Most of you are aware of the DEC-BUSD farm and SPS-BNB kingdom on Cub Finance powered by Binance Smart Chain. Now it's time to get some exposure on Polygon as well via pSPS - the wrapped version of SPS. Khal (@khaleelkazi) confirmed this on the first PolyCUB Governance vote update after which the claim window is moving from 90 days to 30 days. 🚀

Multichain SPS

SPS is the governance token of Splinterlands. You can stake within the game to earn a handsome 24.67% APY right now. The percentage keeps on reducing as more people join in, buying SPS and staking in it. It's great to have the token's representation on other chains to have more options to earn yields on the token. SPS-BNB Kingdom on CUB Finance doesn't give great yields and there is a chance of impermanent loss too. On PolyCUB, we might be able to see better returns when the vault launches. Also, @aggroed & @yabapmatt can buy PolyCUB, put it in xPolyCUB vault, and upvote the SPS farm up the ranks to ensure the highest number of APY as compared to other farms and kingdoms. 😂 PolyCUB governance is so powerful and you can actually decide what happens on the platform.

Having SPS on different chains is a great thing for the liquidity of the token. Hive-Engine doesn't have liquidity issues but new players & investors always find different ways to acquire the token. With the launch of pSPS and it's vaults, users have an entry point from different platforms & networks. Don't forget about the arbitrage opportunities. BSC & Polygon are two of the most used chains for DeFi, so it makes sense to have SPS sitting on them. There are a lot of good games built on Polygon Network, we can now expose the players of those games to Splinterlands via pSPS.

Value Accrual Mechanism of V2 Vaults

Let me tell you why you need to get excited for the 2nd generation of PolyCUB vaults. They will majorly focus on bridged assets such as Hive, SPS & other Hive-Engine Tokens. There are five different value accrual mechanisms for PolyCUB PoL as compared to V1 vaults. PoL is protocol-owned liquidity which is a DeFi 2.0 concept that helps the DeFi protocol acquire its own liquidity and become self-sustainable over a long time. If you want to know more about how it works, please this video by @khaleelkazi. For now, let's look at these 5 value accrual mechanisms:

  • Hive assets like pHive & pSPS held as 1:1 collateral for the wrapped equivalent - staked on native platforms (i.e. HIVE POWER or SPS staking on splinterlands.com)
  • 0.25% wrapping and unwrapping fee
  • Cross-chain arbitrage
  • Utility for people to buy POLYCUB to LP against their insert_hive_asset = value accrual for PolyCUB's PoL
  • pSPS-POLYCUB holders need to buy more POLYCUB to stake as xPOLYCUB to control governance and drive the vault yield higher

Not just 1 but 5 ways to acquire value. A multi-chain bridge is already there and more Hive-based assets will be added in the future, each increasing the PoL and overall worth of PolyCUB. As an SPS & PolyCUB holder, I am pretty excited about this development and looking forward to it.

Polygon is the best chain for swapping low liquidity Hive Engine tokens.

Polygon is the most popular L2 for sure. 🔥 With low GAS fees.

Bringing HBD, Hive, SPS & other Hive-Engine Tokens to the Polygon DeFi world should ensure deep liquidities for these tokens if all succeed. We need to close the gap between buy and sell orders in order to be a market appealing to traders and investors and those can happen only with tremendous liquidity.

100%. It's high time Hive community understands the value PolyCUB is bringing to its ecosystem. We have a home grown DeFi that deserves more attention and applause from everyone here :')

I am excited about pSPS on Polycub couple with SPS drop ending soon it will really give SPS some boost, basically exciting times ahead the way I see it with lots of options for us to choose from.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I will be very sad to see SPS airdrop ending. :(

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol it might help pick up the price up by preventing the sell off.
Do you play Splinterlands?

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I am a mere spectator and an investor. Used to play but then got bored. What about you?

Lol it might help pick up the price up by preventing the sell off.

I hope they buy more to get SPS validator nodes. :D That might pump it up a little.

Am a Splinterlands addict with no intention of recovering form the addiction, am actually playing Splinterlands now while responding to you 😃

I am optimistic we will see a price pump after the end of airdrop, I hope it turns out that way.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Hahaha. That's so cool. When did you start playing? I somehow don't win 2-3 battles in a row. So I quit it.

I hope you make a shit ton of money from playing the game. Just after the airdrop, maybe many will sell but eventually, we might see a huge pump. SPS should go back to $1 :)

I've been playing for 2 years now, I wish I started back on Steem. So far its been been a good move I made.

Lol not a shit ton of money from the airdrop, am approaching 5k SPS which was my initial target, now am pushing for 6k SPS by end of airdrop.

I am thinking so as well even if we can have SPS between 50 to 80 cent, will be great.

Would be cool only bad thing is the SPS doesn't earn vouchers or the APR from the pool. Not sure how they could tap into that as that would provide a pretty big value to the pool in terms of income and value for sure.

SPS is only going to get hotter now that more use cases will be coming out for it this year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah! I didn't even think of that. The V2 vault will get value from SPS staked in the game. So they will be getting loads of vouchers airdropped. I hope they sell them and give the value back to the pool.

SPS is only going to get hotter now that more use cases will be coming out for it this year.

100%. Every time I look at my account, it feels like I don't have enough. 😂 So cheap right now.

Another huge news especially for those who are in the game and or have SPS stacked up. The LF team keeps handing out surprises!

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

Yes, Leo Finance keeps giving 🦁

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

True that and it's really nice.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Nicest thing ever!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It sure is :) Cheers!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's nice to see it on different chains but I tend to prefer leaving my SPS staked in Splinterlands. I get VOUCHERS and SPS every day and VOUCHERS are quite nice right now due to the validator node presale going up soon.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, anyone interested in Vouchers should consider that point. Moreover, you can sell them for profit even if you don't want them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah, great news for SPS and Hive holders like me. Looking for a better yields for SPS, with TribalDex there's a big impermanent loss risk. Although it adds quite nicely to airdrop points

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

PolyCUB should be a great platform to compensate for the impermanent loss. Since it accrues value from multiple directions.

SPS pools count for SPS airdrops? I thought it was only DEC pools.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

On Splinterlands SPS management page it's just mentioned DEC pools but yeah, Tribaldex DEC:SPS adds nicely

Oh nice. So it's the ultimate pair. :)) Has both of the shiny tokens of Spliterverse.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, bad thing is that DEC don't gain as much value as SPS when is up. But even with impermanent loss I'll try to keep on farming and do the math cos it adds so much to airdrop points

That's true. My airdrop points are mostly because of the pools. CP not so much.

Also, DEC was supposed to be a stablecoin I guess.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, CP does actually add a very small amount to airdrop points. Here's my points and my DEC:SPS -LP is worth about 100$ and while my deck is worth way more than that.. that is if you wanna look it that way. So providing liquidity is a very good way to get airdrop points.

Thank you for the information. We are waiting for the pSPS.
