The statistics within this post is taken from Semrush, and as I happen to get a weekly report that is called: Organic Research: Positions, and as I am in favor of the whole optimized content thing, I figured I'd let you in on some juicy details.
This report contains:
- Organic Search: Positions 1-10
- Volume
- KD (Keyword Difficulty)
- Costs %
- Traffic %
Amongst some other things, but these are the ones I think is the most important. At least for now. I can also tell you that the Traffic cost has been an estimated price of $1.5K (up from $1.3K from last week) for organic keywords in Google AdWords, and seven of the top 10 keywords have used CPC.
I have added costs % in the reports so we get more accurate details. As I include the estimated price for paid traffic, I might as well include where the paid traffic goes. I am not sure, but my best guess is that @khaleelkazi is using Google Adwords in an attempt to point traffic towards certain posts on LeoFinance.
I have seen multiple requests for additional information within these reports and I have every intention of adding (some of) those and more over time.
I have added expected monthly visitors, page views from SimpleAnalytics and keywords that dropped from the top 10 in this report.
I have added the previous position the keywords had and the previous amount of page views the top 10 posts got from Google.
These are the 10 keywords that brings most traffic to LeoFinance.io, and each keyword point directly towards the article on LeoFinance as well. Feel free to take a look.

According to SEMRush, the number of users expected to visit the website in the following month on condition that average monthly organic traffic stays relatively the same: 399 (Up from 352 since the last report).
- That is unique website visitors coming from search engines.
According To SimpleAnalytics:
We've had 7054 page views (Up from 5961) in total from Google since the last report. I could include other search engines as well, but I will focus on Google for now. These are the top 10 posts that got the most page views from Google. (Note that page views and visitors are not the same thing.)
- 10 Splinterlands Card Strategies for Beginners | 2140 Page Views - (Up from 1618 Page Views)
- Splinterlands Chaos Legion: Suggestions for new (chaotic!) Abilities | 398 Page Views. (Up from 317 Page Views)
- One Week of Playing Axie Infinity: Earnings Review | 256 Page Views (Down from 298 Page Views)
- What Splinterlands cards should you invest in if you want to win battles? | 245 Page Views (Down from 262 Page Views)
- Splinterlands: How Much Can You Earn? | 244 Page Views (Up from 182 Page Views)
- Razas de Axie Infinity | 103 Page Views (Up from 83 Page Views)
- Game Theory Saturday - How To Deal With The Dark Energy Crystal Capture Rate in Splinterlands | 102 Page Views (Up from 85 Page Views)
- What are the Best Value Splinterlands Cards to Level up Next? (Neutral Cards) | 85 Page Views (Up from 79 Page Views)
- How to link your Hive account to MetaMask Wallet | 82 Page Views
- Best value Splinterlands cards to level up next? Fire Splinter | 72 Page Views (Up from 66 Page Views)
- BULL Race Hero First Look! Exciting NFT Game By BULLD, Don't Miss [Sponsored] | 62 Page Views (Down from 133 Page Views)
As you can see from the above list, the posts that are getting the most views are gaming related in the form of Splinterlands and Axie Infinity so there's huge potential with posts like this.
However, page views and unique visitors are not the same thing. Page views simply means that someone has viewed the page, meaning that people can consume the content multiple times and for each time they visit the page, the counter for page views will increase.

A little case study here to highlight how important it is to update and ensure the evergreen content that we are linking to is relevant:
So the 'andrei jikh portfolio' keyword has been a high traffic driver to leofinance.io for ages.
Our page 1 position was always the Schubes post featuring that embedded video - The one you've linked to in this report.
His was just one of the first articles talking about Jikh that was published anywhere online, so Google saw it as an authority and accordingly ranked it highly.
But the page had no structure, no subheadings, no text featuring the keywords etc.
So as other domains started creating content related to Andrei Jikh's portfolio, Google started ranking them higher until Schubes post was eventually pushed out.
Now it's completely gone for that keyword. (Search for andrei jikh portfolio on incogneto to see yourself.)
The lesson here is that if we are going to use a post as a cornerstone piece of evergreen content, then we need to make sure the content is optimised, detailed and relevant.
Updating old content doesn't get you paid in LEO rewards because it's outside the 7 day window, but it will help the overall value of your LEO stake.
Search your username in simple analytics to find out which old posts are driving traffic from Google and ensure you keep that post of the highest quality and relevance.

It still stands for 6.01% of the natural organic traffic though, without any costs, which is awesome, but it could rather easily have brought even more than that with some minor updates.
You are totally on point with everything you've said though. Looking at your username on simpleanalytics is a superb first step to dip your toes.

Are you sure the stats you're getting from SEMRush are completely up to date?
Schubes' post doesn't rank organically at all anymore for the keyword 'andrei jikh portfolio'.
It still ranks P8 (the very bottom of page 1) for 'andrei jikh crypto portfolio' and as such has only brought in 7 hits this week.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That was actually a good question and I looked it up immediately. It seems like the reports are "up to date" overall, but all of the keywords are actually not updated.
So the report basically look like this, (which I didn't think of before you mentioned this):
Keyword | Pos | Volume | KD | COSTS % | Traffic % | Last Update
The keyword: 'andrei jikh portfolio' was last updated on 14 Aug.
That was a nice catch though. I'll include the "last update" part in the next report.

Sounds good man :)

Great job with this report, man. Hopefull we can keep improving our SEO and turn LeoFinance into the frontpage for crypto and financial related articles

Going to need a few things to fall into place but we are off to a terrific start.
We need a great deal more people focusing upon this as well as adding content.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is true, but one need to keep in mind that LeoFinance is still a fairly new website so new keywords will be ranked due to the content that has been published since the launch as well.
Optimized content would obviously serve us better in the long haul, but even content that hasn't been optimized the slightest bit will rank on search engines sooner or later. They are likely to get extremely poor rankings though.

I think that's a stretch, but we're having great results so far.

He likes to look ahead.

It is always good to see this report. I see the keywords keep increasing. Another 200 added this week. That is a terrific jump. If we can keep doing that over the course of 6 months, we will be in terrific shape.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, hundreds of new keywords each week is incredible! Will be really cool to see the difference 6 months from now compared to these reports.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just need to keep it growing by consistently talking about it.
Hopefully more people join, creating even more content.
It seems like comments help SEO a great deal. Hence if we can get that going, we can really reinforce the main keywords in an article.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Comments adds a lot of value. Especially detailed comments that "brings something to the table" so to speak.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
That is good. I will try to add a few detailed comments each day about a particular topic of an article.
If that helps the possible SEO of that piece along with getting another keyword or two, why not do it?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Are you referring to my mini-post comments? I can be a bit verbose at times.

Here's another huge opportunity we're on the cusp of losing.
So fknmayhem got in just before the Axie Infinity popularity explosion and ranks on page 1 for the somewhat popular search term 'axie infinity earnings'. (I'm fairly certain this is the one that's bringing in the traffic.)
It actually ranked P1 for that search term for months, bringing us thousands of hits.
It's now down to P8 at the very bottom of page 1.
You can see we're now losing hundreds of page views per week from that drop and if we go to page 2, then it will be pretty much to zero.
In order for this page to continue driving huge traffic to leofinance.io, @fknmayhem really needs to update the content to be relevant to today. Update the prices and how much you actually earn.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Updates to that specific post and new posts linking back to that one would be great in terms of rankings. It would most certainly help us to drive more traffic over time.
The post is already 9 months old, so I'm sure it would push a great deal of traffic to LeoFinance.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Just remember that if info in the post stays old and irrelevant, we can only 'scam' Google into maintaining a page 1 position for so long by linking to it.
The algo eventually learns that the info in the post is out of date and will prioritise content that is more relevant.
It needs to be updated if we are going to use it as a cornerstone piece of content that we keep linking to.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yeah, if we're using it as a cornerstone it definitely needs to be up to date. That obviously goes for all content, but I would rather "scam google" than to miss out on the traffic.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yep, I certainly agree that any traffic is good traffic.
Just if we can encourage linking to updated (or completely evergreen content) as our cornerstone pages, then the organic traffic can truly last.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
This is an awesome way to get Leofinance on top of the list where finance info is concerned. There's way too much value here for the world to miss out.

I guess it depends on who you compare with, but I am far from a professional expert.
