Monthly Recap

I've been posting a monthly recap of my HIVE empire on LeoFinance. I thought it would be interesting to produce a series of connected posts that show how accounts grown on HIVE and HIVE engine. Here is October .

I think it is best to draw the information from the blockchain. I might switch to that process.

I am not sure if this is the best way to go about this undertaking. However, the way science works is that people just start taking measurements of things that are interesting. They slowly hone the measurement system.

I was extremely enthusiastic about HIVE with Hive Fest on the horizon. Without explanation, @spaminator started downvoting this account. I started studying @spaminator's downvote history. It appears that the project is attacking people for political reasons and not because of spam.

I have three accounts. @yintercept, @vagabondspirit and @irivers. The reason I have three accounts is because I've been writing code to integrate different platforms into HIVE.

For HIVE to reach the next level, there needs to be platforms that integrate with HIVE.

The proper way to integrate platforms is to create accounts then to spend thousands of hours exploring, testing and measuring things.

Creating accounts for specific tasks is clearly sanctioned by HIVE. Notably, HIVE creates an account for each community. HIVE engine asks that tribes wanting to mint coins creates specific accounts for the coin. Hive-Signer requires that people wanting to implement Oauth create an account for the Oauth.

Having different accounts for different processes is good form.

I haven't published any code yet, because I don't feel comfortable with the HIVE interface. I know that this sounds strange, but I do not want to call external APIs from a server. So, I don't want to use BEEM or The reason I don't want to call APIs from a server is because I have seen this structure go bad in the past.

I want to emphasize that there is no spam or plagiarism in this account. For the moment the account is just producing web site reviews.

The way I do the reviews is I write, by hand, a site review. I put the first half of the review on Internet Rivers. I put the second half of the review on one of the many interfaces for HIVE.

This game of writing a post that crosses web sites is an effective method of link development. The structure creates a traffic flow between web sites.

I actually dislike Search Engine Optimization. However, I should point out that writing posts that cross sites is an effective SEO technique.

Should I Waste Time on HIVE Development?

I prefer development to blogging. I've spent a huge amount of time reading the code for HIVE and the HIVE API. I am not finding the tools that I want.

I haven't written any programs that interface with HIVE because I really don't feel comfortable with the published APIs.

I've wasted a ton of time read the HIVE code and API Code on github.

This thing where spaminator is attacking my professional integrity really has me thinking that maybe I have been barking up the wrong tree. Could I trust HIVE as a business partner, or is HIVE just a repeat of the big tech?

Big tech encourages developers to build dependencies on their platform, then turn around and shoot down independent thinkers. Spaminator is destroying my faith in HIVE.

A Review of My Empire

I've been feeling so depressed about the spaminator attack that I failed to notice that the price of HIVE increased. I passed the 5000 HP mark and am 93% of the way to being a dolphin.

Egads, the reported value of my account is over $13,000. That is actual money.

I am repeating this next message from my yintercept post.

The HIVEfest speach by @arcange convinced me that HIVE's authentication mechanisms are likely to be the biggest drawing points of the platform in 2022. Since spaminator has gone bad, I pulled my Witness vote from @patrice . I added witness votes to @arcange who is working on HAS authenticaion and @stoodkev who works on HiveKeychain. I couldn't determine the witness behind HiveSigner.

I still support the concept of HiveWatchers. I will revive my vote for HiveWatchers if it returns to the basic job of downvoting actual spam, actual spam and identity theft.

My Hive Engine Empire

Whan the prices of HIVE pops, the HIVE price of the alt-coins drops. So lets look at the Engine.

My steem engine tokens have all turned into empty bags. I list them to remind folks that alt-coin investments can disappear.

I had had big hopes for blogtoken. Blogtoken.io when silent. BLOG might become an empty bag.

BTW: The same thing happened to PAY which is for political hive. Since politics is a popular topic, I still consider it to be one of the best tokens for newbies. The token trades for 0.00001 HIVE. Newbies can buy thousands of tokens, write a few posts about politics and will get large numbers of tokens.

Even though political hive doesn't have a web site, i provides an inexpensive means to learn token-onimics.

The ENGAGE command hasn't ever worked for me. So, I divested.

The really exciting token is #WAIV . This token works with the Wavio.com interface. Waivio is a grounds up project by a group called Global Cloud Team that works with both HIVE and Google accounts. They have a weird thing where they use "objects" instead of tags. That I haven't figured out.

The production timeline indicates that they started back in the heady days of STEEM and were crunched by the Justin Sun fiasco.

Waivio ranks with PeakD and LeoFinance in the quality of the user experience.

I was banking on POB. POB started charging a 10% tax on posts. They have a cookie cutter interface that includes ads.

I am using vagabondspirit as a dedicated curation account for CCC which is why I unstaked some CCC.

Here is the full listing of my HIVE empire.

I liquidated a few coins. So my coin total only grew by 18,115 coins. The account value increased due to the increase in the price of HIVE. The HIVE price of my coins dropped.

I find this monthly snap shot of my account interesting. I am not sure if it is the best way to demonstrate the expected growth of HIVE engine accounts.

And learning to do Hive dev is not a waste of time IMO. The libraries are actually pretty good and well documented, and the possibilities are endless.

Thank you for your support @irivers, really appreciate it! 👍

I removed you off Spaminator. You got picked up with a large botnet. Unfortunately we do have exploitative botnets running on Hive which sometimes drag in unrelated users.
