A Stage Of Abundance
Most people I know are etched on the concept of lack and want because of the uncertainty that comes with things like scarcity, a hike in price, or even unfair government policies. A period of abundance is something that's difficult to come by, or a stage, position that seems impossible to attain this is because no one truly believes that abundance is an economic concept that's possible, however when the right policies are put in place a period of abundance is possible. In a country like Afghanistan or Iran it'll be impossible for you to assure their citizens that there will be no more war this is because they already set up their mind to the situation of the country and gradual change is the only thing they will come to accept.
If you look at the adoption of cryptocurrency in Africa you'll see that it's even more slower than you think one of the reasons for this is that people are cut off from information source. They're already reliant on a centralised means alone to fend for their families., They already see money as something that would descend from the government into their banks accounts.
So there will be checks and balances, they're exposed to high costs of transactions, bad servicing by commercial banks and network providers, they're used to being duped by banks of their money, they're etched on the ever crumbling state of the economy and they have adapted to the harsh low payment of salaries from their various organizations.

Taking Charge Of Your Financial State
This is why it's difficult to believe that the technology behind crypto can change the lives of people in a twinkling of an eye. In reality change is a gradual process but the tech behind crypto defies this odds, in a matter of months bitcoin has hit and surpassed it's all time high growing beyond exponentiality and giving a different definitive meaning to the concept of growth and development.
In Africa growth is a mirage, A stage that's unobtainable in a short term, this is because the government from the top hasn't just managed to convince people that change is impossible they've managed to reset our understanding of what should be good or bad so much that people would take what they don't deserve rather than wait or strive for what they deserve.
Information and knowledge is power which sometimes enables one to take cognizance of their financial state. A person that has earned low amount of income for a long period of time would have removed a lot of things from their scale of preference, things like spending to attain satisfaction, spending beyond needs to reach a height of desire and cravings but when they understand they can't have other opportunities that will promise them something better they wouldn't want to strive for it, they will rather remain poor and safe than a chance to be out of poverty but promises huge and immense risk.
Unless they're spoonfed, cajoled, coaxed or assured that there's no risk, nevertheless they fail to understand that living in poverty itself is a risk.. There are many types of risks and sometimes people fail to understand that living without adequate means is a risk itself that threatens one's existence

Conclusion
Nevertheless, the world is changing, decentralisation has given people the opportunities to take charge of their lives The government will never allow people themselves find other means to placate their terrible governance. When people are financially free especially from means the government knows nothing about, then the government would suffer. They're reliant on people to make money and if people makes themselves unavailable then the government will suffer.
Sometimes most government keeps information off their people not in a bid to protect them but in a bid to control them and that's is why many people still see Crypto as a plague. Banks totally avoid talking about it, most financial institutions desists from talking about it, and even regulatory bodies have warned people into buying it became it is an unreliable source of storing value, people only see banks as a place for storing money and it's only a few economically inclined people that stores value in real estate and gold but them most people are too poor to even see the chance of storing value in gold and real estate.
This is to say poverty limits one's capabilities to understand the phenomenon of choices. It's challenging to ask an uninspired person to take risk or adjust to taking risk on a daily basis. Government uses ignorance and fear to deadens people's senses of adventure, that's why people prefer their future being controlled by entities who use them, dump them and still leave them poor. It'll be difficult for people to accept the sophistication of the tech behind Crypto unless they opt out of ignorance and chose to learn and adapt to change that Crypto brings.

It seems more like everyone played a role in these things or problems that we see arising. And yes, here in Africa, vast percentage of people are only based or believe in centralized way of getting funds to feed the family and won'took into the direction of crypto or even consider it worth their time. To be honest, a lot of people carelessly see crypto as a bag man thing. When they hear the word crypto, they quickly fixes their thoughts on bitcoin and with the price of bitcoin,......... Am sure you get the point because I have few friends who think in such manner.
Brilliant comment, you're right about this. I still believe crypto education is what people should individually cultivate, but then we all know most of those guys you and I knows do not want to individually learn and that's why crypto knowledge still eludes them. In all honesty We're the earliest pioneers
