If Blogging Is Not Working For You, Try Other Opportunities.

When I joined Hive new, I felt that the earning opportunity available on Hive is mostly through content creation. This affected me because my content barely got the deserved attention but as time went on, I started exploring the Hive blockchain and I found out that there are several opportunities to make money on Hive outside content creation, and this changed my activities on Hive.

First, I started exploring the Hive engine and the diesel pools, and when I discovered I can provide liquidity there and earn passive income, I felt at home because I have always been a lover of Staking.

Again, I discovered that there is an option to follow a curation trail and earn rewards from curation. This was also a big boost for me because it reduces the stress of manual curation. I curate when I have the time while other curators curate for me through their upvotes.

I didn't join the Gaming projects on Hive on time but when I finally did, I discovered that I earn more money through Gaming than through Blogging. This has made me spend more time on games than on creating content, and that's how it should be; focusing more on the one that earns me more.

One thing we need to understand in Life is that what works for Mr. A may not work for Mr.B. You may try to do things differently but yet all your effort will still be ineffective. Hive operates in such a way that the reward you receive on a post IS NEVER A FUNCTION OF THE QUALITY OF YOUR CONTENT but the people who like your content or who are friends with you. Again, you might post when people are not online and your content will be buried.

So while trying to improve on Hive by engaging with other Hivans, participating in contests, etc, you should try other earning opportunities on Hive, such as;

Building Up Hive Token Power And Following Curation Trail.

Stake the Hive engine tokens you earn from posts, buy more if you have the funds, and stake them as well. Follow curation trails and you will be certain that you will earn curation rewards on daily basis. You may decide to sell half of the curation rewards at the end of the month and power up the remaining half for more earning opportunities.

Consider Checking Out The Gaming Projects On Hive.

Most times we never know what we are missing out on if we don't try. When the Rising Star Game came into the Hive Blockchain, I felt that there was nothing for me there. This made me join them very late but when I finally did, I discovered that I have missed a lot by not joining the Game Earlier. I know how much I earn there daily especially now that I play the 1 Million Starbit Mission. The good thing is that the game can be played without investing in it.

There are other ones such as Dcrop, Rabona, and Splinterland. Try them out and compare their results with blogging.

Provide Liquidity On Tribaldex.

One of the benefits of providing liquidity on Tribaldex is the fact that you get to earn several other Hive token rewards in addition to the rewards from the tokens you provided liquidity with. For example, providing liquidity for Swap. Hive:LVL pool offers you the opportunity to earn other Hive Token rewards such as Dec, PGM, THGAMING, MEME, etc. You receive your rewards daily and you can stake some of them to build up your power and withdraw some because it is always good to take out profits.

Another great way is by participating in a contest because your content always gets the attention of the contest organizer and it will get the deserved upvote.

So don't be discouraged by your blog rewards. Indeed it is humiliating to spend time writing, only to receive little rewards, but keep the spirit alive. Many are making it huge today through their blog because it was built over the years. This is why I am not even disturbed by the rewards I earn. I believe time will tell.

Finally, consider the above opportunities and see how to use them and generate rewards. Hive is not all about Blogging.

Sort:

Yes there's no correlation between quality of content and earnings, most stuff on here deserves to earn very little.

Surest way of ensuring a decent payout is to power up to around 50K Hive then it shows commitment to the platform, whales are more likely to upvote you, assuming your content is not just total toss!

I totally agree with your contribution. Powering up is another great way to gain attention on Hive. Am working towards that but need to have a sustainable source of earning so as to have a place through which I power up.

This is truly a worthy post, bravo Jose. it is insightful and satisfying.
I have also noticed the vast differences and a few highlighted concerns.
Gaming and blogging about my gaming has truly helped me alot. I am yet to withdraw a dime from hive since i started, but let's see how things go🤞

Brilliant Post again Jose, thank you for sharing❤️

You are welcome @queensarr, and thanks for stopping by.
I hope the reward system of Hive changes in the future. It is not always easy for some newbies to survive on Hive when they focus only on blogging. Few of them who survive are not so special, they are just lucky to find a good ground early.
Again, people need to try other opportunities of earning available on Hive and then spend more time on those that work well for them.

Totally agree. Appreciate this timely piece. Much Love Jose💗

Which games do you, personally, feel offer the best earning opportunities here on Hive, and why, if I may ask?

!PIZZA

Rising Star is the best. I have not played Splinterland yet so I can't review it.

Rising Star doesn't demand you to be smart or compete with anyone to earn money. You don't need to spend time on it except during your early levels where you will be playing shorter missions of 5 mins and 10 mins.
The game is just like mining. You just click on mission and go away to whatever you are doing before. When the countdown finishes, you earn Starbits and then play another mission. There is nothing like loss here since you ain't competing.

You can play as a free user but your earning will be low. So, you just need to throw in some funds to get energy boost that can allow you play all the time , and have average number of fans which increases your earning.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you :)

So many opportunities, that’s what I love about Hive!

Yeah. You just have to choose the one that works for you.

Great advice. Thanks!!

Welcome bro

B20. Regarding the trail, I never used it, it was interesting for me to do everything myself, and I started by participating in competitions, this is a solution I have tested)

It is a choice bro. Following curation trail works for those who do not have time to curate posts. So, if you have time, then you should do it by yourself.

It is good that you are participating in contest.

B20. Now, the competition has faded into the background)

I don't think so bro, you should check out @theinkwell
@ecotrain , the weekend community, etc.

B20. I'm sorry, brother, but gnomes and shamrocks are not my topic, thanks)

This your post here is of good content. And from the heart.
Thumb up

Brilliant post Jose🤗🤗

Hive is filled with so many opportunities.

I came to hive for the gaming and realized that there is more than can be done here. I am yet to withdraw anything from my games though.

the reward you receive on a post IS NEVER A FUNCTION OF THE QUALITY OF YOUR CONTENT but the people who like your content or who are friends with you.

Let me add some things to this.

The reward you get depends solely on the visibility of your content. Meaning that it depends on the community you posted on, the people you have as friends, how well you promote your posts and the tags you make use of.

But in all, it is mostly not a function of the quality of your content.

Nice content😉

I agree with you. The visibility of your content to an extent determined what you earn, and there are some communities with active members. When you post in such communities, you will certainly get active engagement.

Wow thanks for the eye opening blog I got into hive for the music but With what I have seen there are more opportunities here and it's also educating..... I did enjoy reading through your blog... Great job👍
