Steve Wozniak has some stuff to say about Bitcoin. I don't agree with everything he said but it's an interesting read nonetheless.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well BTC itself is it's own beast. It was the first of it's kind and it definitely is kind of true that there probably won't be another one to take it's place. However I am with you and I don't agree on all the facts he mentions though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree. As Dan calls it, Bitcoin is a unicorn.

We will never see anything match it.

A short but very good video on the Metaverse and how cryptocurrency is going to play a major part.

Well worth a few minutes to give it a looksy.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Pretty cool video, feels like a glimpse into the future.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Big time. We are embarking upon some really cool stuff.

Posted using LeoFinance Mobile

I am considering investing in projects that are on the Metaverse. I see huge potential for them in the coming years.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

You are if you are involved in hive.

Everything you see being done on blockchain and within cryptocurrency is part of the foundation for the **Metaverse.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Looks like someone let the dogs out and now they're running

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Isn't mass adoption what we want? It should have been done by Bitcoin years ago (say, 2015), but along the way Bitcoin transformed into so-called digital gold. Ethereum could have led the movement to mass adoption, but it's on the road to capture by Wall Street and the banking industry.

Other cryptos could have led the movement toward mass adoption, but they hadn't gained traction for whatever reason.

So it's been left to Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and their spawn. Since that's the case, let them handle that burden.

It will be up to a different kind of crypto to take it to another level. Cat tokens? Gaming and NFTs? Metaverse? Legal tender crypto? Miami coin and its peers? Hive? As the famous saying goies, "we shall see."

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, that's what we want. I don't think it will be one coin that will do that though, but rather a combination of projects with different goals and capabilities.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

A number of cryptos will be in front of the movement toward mass adoption, but one has to be the leader. If crypto is divided into neighborhoods or sectors (play2earn, NFT, DeFi, social, e-commerce, etc., then the leaders of each neighborhood or sector can lead the way.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's what I think will happen. Not sure if there will be a clear leader on all of those fronts but maybe on some of those.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I agree. Coins attract different audiences, for different tribes, similar to Tribes and Communities on Hive and Hive Engine. But the important thing is that new coins “enlarge the tent” by catering to a more diverse base and encourage mass adoption.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I wonder if this will have bad side effects in the future. After all, I don't know how well they will hold in the bear market.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It is normal for altcoins to soar high up to this level because people easily sell the news. It is therefore left for us to make the necessary research before investing in these altcoins.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What are your thoughts on this?

We are dealing with someone who is very technically astute so it is not as if he isnt aware of what is taking place with decentralization.

Is he right?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think it will all depend on how fast crypto gets "too big". If the markets run into the 10s of trillions in the next couple years then, yes, they'll probably try. If we have a big bull run here and then it comes crashing down for another 2 year crypto winter, then I doubt they'll do anything. In the meantime, the economy is going to suck, and more and more of the politicians being elected will have exposure to crypto and the likelihood of them banding together enough to actually "ban" it will be minimal.

Just my opinion of course.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's true that more incoming politicians will have exposure to crypto and, therefore, be more sympathetic to it. It's also true that the politicians in positions on influence and power will be mainly those who don't understand crypto and in fact fear crypto.

It will be a while before the cryptophiles reach positions where they can protect crypto. What we don't know is if it will be too late by then.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't think it's possible for them to ban crypto in general unless they shut down the internet. Decentralization makes it hard to shut down every single node.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, I don't think the ban will be general. for countries like El Salvador that have Bitcoin as a legal tender, nothing will affect the usage of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies there.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

If crypto is going to be banned, it has to be now before it can crawl or walk. Once it's off and running, banning crypto becomes a fool's errand. It's one reason for the moves toward greater financial surveillance.

If things go as expected, crypto may be safe. When something unexpected happens in the negative direction, something unforseen and major, then crypto is more likely to be banned.

Then again, attempts to ban crypto can backfire spectacularly. If a ban is attempted, let's hope for that backfire.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Interesting article, it is an interesting take on the governments demand to control and tax all commerce. But although you can track transactions via a block explorer, it seems very difficult to shut something like this down. The USA perhaps had the clout to something like this, but I think that ship has sailed. Any government who hamstrings crypto in their country just moves it into the shadows and out of their country.

Cryptomaniac's podcast is out. There was a huge variety of topics so I think there is something for everyone here.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Here is a great quote from @belemo:

Right now, I could be making about $20 per month from saving HBD on hive. The minimum wage in my country is about $50 a month, so relatively speaking, I'm actually making a decent amount of money.

https://leofinance.io/@belemo/dumping-vouchers-holding-hive-and-hbd-savings

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well I am not converting it into HBD but that might be a good choice if I want to collect some interest.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, there is nothing more profitable than passive reward. If I have enough HBD I will consider doing so as well .

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That's good indeed. He makes almost half the minimum age at virtually 0 risk. Just one of the great things about crypto and HIVE, more specifically in this case. And it's passive too.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

An interesting comment about the relative cost of living differences from country to country. 20$ in the US buys you one entree in one dinner, whereas he is literally able to live offf that amount of money.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Anyone checked out Hive.io of late.

They really did a good job on the site.

image.png

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I still don't understand what Fullalt is or does. I've tried to read the info at the site, but I et the ten-thousand-yard stare after 10 minutes.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It seems to me they are trying to attract people to Hive by expanding some of its core concepts to other platforms. One of their projects apparently lets you reward content creators on the likes of YouTube and Twitter with HIVE.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well, if they will reward creators from Youtube and other social media platforms, how are they going to generate rewards for themselves, since they do not have their own platform?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think they are doing that to increase the value of Hive itself. If they accomplish that then they get rewarded big time because they probably have a significant stake on HIVE.

HIVE has huge potential and once it goes mainstream a lot of wealth is going to be generated. Not everyone can see it because they lack long-term vision.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I hadn't checked it in a while but I really like what I see now. Great UX and it looks very professional.

Many crypto projects have crappy websites that make them look like scams (even when they are solid) so it's a great start for Hive to have a great-looking site.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Having a good presentation helps. I saw a site earlier this year that actually had one of those "under construction" signs that were popular 20 years ago. If your site isn't ready, why in the hell would I consider investing in you?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No I don't even bother going to hive.io much at all. It's either PeakD or LeoFinance for the most part for me.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

HiveProjects.io is where I spend more time since that's where the action is.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That is a nice graphic, and portrays an impressive picture of the number of dApps on Hive…

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Things are getting really interesting with the Peerplays collaboration and some of the other development.

It is time to really pay close attention to what is going on.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea it is. You mentioned that they are rolling out everything soon and it's nice to see an easy way to swap money from the different chains.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive does not seem to be able to burst through that $.80 level. I guess it is aligning with BTC which stalls at about $63K.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes, it looks like there is a strong resistance there. I gotta say though I expected it would drop more so I'm happy that it's holding well

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

In a way, I think the price is more or less following the price of BTC right now. I guess most crypto are following a similar trend so long as they aren't memes.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah. The market isnt going to distinguish much about Hive at the moment.

We need some more things to roll out. Just keep moving things forward is the way to go.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah. Coins with use cases normally follow the Bitcoin pattern. Shit coins are manipulated to produce a huge percentage rise that will appear as if it worth the investment

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I expect this to happen after the last bull and we shouldn't be surprised that this is the case. However I believe that more is yet to come

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Hive decided to top 80 cents. We will see if it holds.

When we started this daily Leomarkettalk engagement, there is usually a weekly update on the number of comments and posts made. I have not seen such statistics for some time now. Any contribution ?

I know that Cub Finance and CUB is handled at BSC, and I know that owning SWAP.CUB isn't the same as owning CUB from Cub Finance.

Does anyone know the purpose of the Cub Life token (CL)?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes. CubLife is a project managed by the LBI group. It's a CubFinance portfolio that pays weekly dividends to investors who own CL tokens so it's pretty much a hold-and-earn token, much like LBI itself, just based on CubFinance investments.

You can check more info on their announcement post from April.

They also release a weekly report every Friday. You can check out the latest report here.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

CubLife is a token where you invest HIVE/LEO and get paid LEO every week. It's more for the people who don't understand Defi but still want to participate.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I can use HIVE to buy CL. How do I use LEO to buy CL? Is is a delegation of LP to the LBI account? Do I sell LEO for SWAP.HIVE first before buying CL?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No you can send LEO directly to the cublife
cublife buys

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

That;s good to know, thanks for the info. I'll need to save a bit of liquid LEO and HP to send to "@"cublife. I'm expecting a week or two befpre I can do that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

It's actual HIVE and not HP. I am not sure if its HIVE from the wallet or Hive Engine though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Where can I read the announcement???

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

What announcement?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I think he was hooked by the catchphrase on the title of the post :P

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah ok. That is why the ? at the end.

I am not sure but I explained my view in another comment.

Bottom line I bought more Cub today.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I bought more CUB today.

There was some interesting insight into Khal's thinking. He is hoping to have an announcement out on Sunday about Cubfinance.

He was asked if he thought $1 CUB could still be possible by the end of October. He said 50/50 that it could be.

I have no idea what is brewing. This was on the Leofinance AMA.

Not financial advice but just a FYI.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well we only have a few days left and I guess the only catalyst would be the Polygon IDO.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No idea what he was referring to or how he believes anything can send the price moving in two days.

We will have to see if a post appears tomorrow or if it is delayed.

Either way, if it is a week from now, that is not the end of the world.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

CUB price has increased slightly. I bought some more regardless of what is going to happen because it's just what I do.

But I'm looking forward to what is going to happen tomorrow. Curious to see what this is about

Question. Do you buy mutual funds or the stocks? How did you get into it? What do you prefer between the two?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I buy stocks. Mutual funds have too many fees and really, anyone who pays attention can create his or her own mutual fund by buying a basket of stocks.

Hence no need to pay fees for someone else to do it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

My first investment was in a conservative mutual fund, and you better believe I did tons of research before selecting it. Only after I felt ready a few years later did I get into a nice, safe utility stock. I did my homework and only used funds I could affoard to lose.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I buy stocks and I generally avoid mutual funds. In general, I think picking the better or stronger options in a sector does better for me anyways.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I used to. I still have some money in mutual funds that are performing very well but I stopped adding more to it. I don't buy stocks anymore either as I'm actually becoming somewhat a crypto maxi these days.

I think I'll keep what I have invested in those funds for the time being but all my future investments or at least the vast majority of them are going to be crypto-based.

Tesla makes a huge 45 GWh order for LFP with CATL.

This is really going to help them ramp up production.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Very good article about the position of Volkswagon.

Of the legacy automakers, I consider them to be in the best position to survive and make the transition to EVs. What we see here is how much of an uphill battle they really have.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

All the other EV companies have an uphill battle and I have a feeling most of them will get Congress to help fund their uphill battle.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

There are two EV companies in my opinion:

  • Tesla
  • the Chinese companies

The legacy automakers certainly have an uphill battle and are not really suited to excel in this arena.

Of course, there will be a lot of contracting of the Chinese EV companies. The market cannot support 300 of them.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea the Chinese market has a lot of EVs but most of them are for small cars. I don't exactly think that type of car will fit much for the rest of the world.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Question. Do you like the Metaverse version of the Facebook? Or do you prefer decentralized version?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Decentralized hands down. It sums up my answer to whether or not I trust Facebook/Zuckerberg with my data.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't even consider what they are building as the Metaverse. In my opinion, it must be decentralized by nature or it's just more of the same.

So yes, I prefer a decentralized version.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

We will just keep building more of what we are doing on here. This is going to be a core component for many people.

@splinterlands and some of the other games could really evolve into that.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Facebook is not truly building the entire Metaverse. Instead it is looking at being the gatekeeper. This is what we have to work against.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Intel often gets overlooked in the chip race. However, the CEO revealed it has its sights set pretty high.

Basically, in 5 years, the company wants to 1,000x the processing power of high powered computers. This is an astonishing goal considering we are still awaiting the rollouts of the first exascale computers.

Talk about a game changer. We will see how quickly they can ramp this up.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Elon Musk became the worlds first $300 billion man. His wealth grew more than $141 billion this year.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Most of it was probably based on Tesla stock and options. Does he fund Starlink using money raised from Tesla stock?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No SpaceX has private investors that keep feeding the company.

Starlink is funded out of SpaceX's monies.

How much Elon keeps feeding in there is not known (at least by me). I never saw what he puts in.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Ah ok. I must of mixed up Blue Origin and Jeff Bezos since he funds it by selling AMZN stock.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

For all you space cadets, it seems that SpaceX is onto something.

The Starship is beginning to turn some heads. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds in the months to come.

It is ironic to see how the US Government can be stifled by technology.

Been slowly adding to my small stash of LVL tokens for that new game. I see some names in here accumulating as well. Looks interesting, let's hope it's the next Splinterlands.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I have heard a few people talk about buying it but I am not really that interested in shooter games as much. So I am leaving it off the table for now.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I've been "off the loop" for the last week or two so I guess I've missed that. What are LVL tokens?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Loading...

Originally I sold my (fractional) LVL since I didn't see the point in owning it at that quantity. When it occurred to me that I could buy some LVL for HODLing as a lottery coin (think DOGE in January 2021 and SHIB in August 2021), I made a 180-degree turn and spent 1.376 HIVE for 1000.33441412 LVL.

At that amount, it's essentially a lottery coin for me. I won't be playing the game itself.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeah, I bought 'a couple' for speculation. I'm really looking forward on getting some game specifics.

I tried before but they seem to get sold out fast! Haven't checked recently so I don't know if they have increased supply or something but it used to be hard to get those!

Candies grabbed! I missed a couple of days this week because I slacked off too much. No bueno.
