Do you happen to know if I need to signup for Genesis League first to be eligible for the airdrop?
That is an excellent question. One that I do not have a concrete answer for. I would assume (don't take my word for it) that our airdrop tokens will be waiting for us regardless of our sign-up date but one can never be too sure of these things. I would recommend asking in the next Splinterlands Town-Hall.

I logged in. Interesting. Cool to see so much activity on Hive! I'm struggling to fund my Splinterlands cards lol I don't think I've got it in me to get in Genesis.
There is certainly allot going on. One might even say too much going on. Keeping up with Splinterlands alone will keep a person busy enough. Tack on all the other awesome stuff HIVE got going on and there isn't much time for other chains.

I was finally able to make it at the start of an event and picked up some packs myself. The PP issue aside, I felt that the launch went smoothly, and the staff was very attentive and responsive in Discord.
This game will be a slow burn just as Splinterlands was and I think it'll be big. They just need to keep pushing to get the word out, as some here on Hive weren't aware of the game. Which is why posts such as this are really helpful. I do wonder what the closed beta access with 100 packs purchased offers, and plan to keep adding to my pack stash. Anybody else?

Awesome stuff, congrats on picking up some packs. Its certainly not easy to beat the timer sometimes. One never knows if an event will be sold out in seconds/minutes or days. I think slow burns stick around the longest. I assume closed BETA testing will be on a site that clones the Play2Earn game in which game mechanics can be tested on before being released.

I'm already signed up and bought some packages but I was surprised that they only sold 200,000 the first day. Although thinking about it, maybe I had too many expectations.
I'm not too surprised by that. There is just too much going on at once making the Splinterland investors spread thin. With HIVE dipping below $0.50 I bet some are hesitant to spend their already accumulated HIVE. Currently the only other payment options is PayPal in which requires KYC and the Splinterlands community and general cryptocurrency community does not like KYC.

I tried to buy 5 packs but with all the problems going on with the sale, the tx failed. I tried again and was eventually able to submit an order that went through. A half hour later I noticed the first tx was processed anyways despite the failure so I ended getting 10 packs at cost. Not really happy with an extra 5 packs as I'd wanted to level some CL cards also, but at least it's only 5 and not 50 or more so whatever.
