Fire it up... the weed not the wood

It is now 4:20 today, and its 6:30 AM..
Its funny feeling like you live in another universe when your in a different time zone

@davedickeyyall is likely celebrating somewhere.

I know!! Atleast I took a video also

Good job!

Thank you! The slow-mo video is awesome!

All I know is that its promoted a lot in the weed channel. I didn't exactly look into what 420 is though.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Lol 4:20 is internationally known as the time that you smoke a bowl with all the other cannabis enthusiasts around the world. There is many different allegations and conspiracies about why 4:20 is fourtwenty

Thanks for the details. I see it promoted quite a bit and I haven't smoked any in a long time. After a few bad experiences with some roommates, I gave up any idea of regularly taking any.

Yea, I’ve had a bad experience here and there, but it’s mostly due to external stimuli and my own state of mind, not really the cannabis.

Cannabis has helped me a lot in my life, and has enabled me to deal with certain things in life. It is definitely a “crutch”.
But I think cannabis is the reason I was able to deal with my anger management issues, that I have had since childhood.

I had a couple of bad trips too but I really believe it had more to do with my state of mind than the substance itself.

Impossible, time zones lol

You dont think I thought this while I was typing!? What I also thought was that there is some stoner out there with clocks all over the house, to let him know when its 4:20 in all of the different timezones.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck
If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck,
If a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Yea, well I was choppin and chucken for a while today, that’s forsure.. it’s pretty fun work! Glad I didn’t get injured at all, not even a blister!

Lol. Is getting injured very common when doing so?

We cut down 3 oak trees in my wife’s parents front yard.. and in the process of chopping that wood, on the last day of work, I pulled a
Dumb and dumber move and ended up with an axe to the face, and my first stitches haha. But yea, I am prone to injury, and I feel with age I am becoming more cautious, not less prone. This is the mark it made on my hat 2 years ago, thankfully I had the hat on or it woulda been worse.. looked like I got an elbow from a UFC fighter

Are you going to do anything special with the wood?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I don't even know how you end up with an axe in the face. It's good that your becoming more cautious as you grow older.

Tool storage.. keep the business end on the ground, and you’ll never get hurt.. I had the axe laying down on my chopping log with the handle hanging off the end, and I rolled over another log to start splitting, and I rolled that log onto the handle of the axe, and it catapulted up onto my face lol!! Was fuckin crazy! No concussion tho! Woot!

I managed to hit myself in the forehead between the eyes with a hatchet when I was a kid. Fortunately the blade wasn't two-sided. Got the butt end. I was sizing up a little log before giving it an heroic whack. Got it lined up and I was so focused on the spot I was going to hit I brought the thing up and BAM! Right between the eyes. lol Almost knocked myself unconscious.

Brings back memories. I used to chop wood daily for my niece when I lived in North Carolina. She had a wood stove.

I now live in an apartment in PA. Electric heat. No need to chop wood anymore and at my age? My back is grateful!

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

I never had that experience actually. Not sure is something I'd enjoy but it would be interesting to try it once just for the sake of it.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

And with the Winter you had there, I am sure the rest of the body is grateful too.

Unless one chopped wood in the freezing cold, it is something impossible to describe.

I dont miss it a bit either.

Yea! Once I quit working and got into my truck, my back was fucked and my Abs/stomach was really tight haha! I got home, took the boots off and stretched rite away! It feels good to still be able to do that kinda work.. I told my boss there was no need to bring a tractor+hydraulic wood splitter.. that’s a waste of fuel.

Working hard is admirable.

Working smart is smart.

I would have opted for the tractor and hydraulic.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yea, my muscles and shit are thinking the same thing now..

LOL that is how it goes. I am far too old to exert myself to that degree.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yeaa, ill start working smarter soon.. I just couldnt see myself suckin diesel fumes for that little of an amount of wood. but it turned into 1 1/2 days worth of work cutting and stacking it.. but that is because I was working two jobs and engaging with folks from the chain! haha! dont tell my boss!!!

Here's the video guys.. idk how to upload the slow mo to the internet lol https://peakd.com/hive-193552/@unorgmilitia/kpgyrxwp
