Okay sure we would like to buy a coin and watch it go to the moon so we can retire early. There are 10x gains and even 100x but they are rare and you are more likely to get rekt as your coin goes to zero. But crypto is not about the overnight path to being a millionaire but creating a path for freelances around the world to work and make a living while being paid a good wage. It is about opportunities being created so you are able to make money in a field you like. And it is about having a side hustle that pays well enough to make sure you can retire at a decent age.
My Time And My Hours
Freelance work does not mean you are want to work less. It usually means you want to work more. The life of a freelancer is usually a lot of hours put into your craft and it is a 24/7 endeavour so you need to learn to put it down and take a break. The advantage is you can make your own hours. Maybe you want to do an 80 hour work week or take a month off and know that work is there when you get back. It is this freedom that cryptocurrency sites can offer. They do not have a schedule and let you put in the hours that you want to put in and as many as you want to put in.

It also gives people to freedom to travel and not only work whenever they want but wherever they want. With smart phones it is even easier. Imagine taking out a phone and working on a dapp on the way to work or while you are waiting for a meal. You will need to learn how to put it down and not be a workaholic but having opportunity at arm's length can really help a lot of people make a living wage.
You Need More Than One Source Of Income
If you want to get ahead you really need to have more than one source of income. In a lot of places it is hard to get one decent job let alone two. With freelance crypto sites you can put in the time on the weekend or nights and add to your income levels. Nothing is stopping you from still working a 9-5. Some people prefer it and like the stability, but with crypto freelance sites you can now do that and make extra income on the side.
The world of freelance crypto can open up a lot of opportunities for people around the world and give them a path forward so they do not need to depend on a job they may be very unhappy in. We need to see more users and values in these coins before they become full-time jobs but we are almost there.

Still haven't got to the freelance level and as I wrote in my morning post today it is a three years long wish of mine to be able to sustain my living through blogging. Maybe 2021 will come with a boost. Otherwise I'll have to search for that 9-5 and leave blogging for weekends of evening time.

You may be right and if blogging will work out well than I will be able to afford some nice vacations as well. As a side note I do talk and comment a lot in real life as well and if my English would have been at the level that I want it to be I would have definitely jump into vlogging by now. It's hard to put so many thoughts in one post and still make it digestible. I appreciate the way you vlog and actually you're the only one I have the patience to listen to the whole video. It's probably that you usually talk about a topic that I am quite interested in as well and that's technology.

You just got me thinking, maybe in a few years, our little Leo and Hive will pay just enough to live on. If I downsize and keep prepping it all comes together! I have seen a better easier life and I'm going towards it.

It certainly could. There are other projects that are starting to kick things into gear. We will see what comes out of it all.
It is difficult right now because the price of HIVE versus fiat is low. This decreases user activity which is exactly what is needed to stimulate more users. That is why it is great to see Leofinance take such a position of lead. Hopefully, it will attract thousands of user which can help give things a kickstart.

At some point the masses are going to see the value proposition in what you describe here. There are many ways to earn rewards, especially on Hive. Over time, things are going up in value so that is helping people. Unfortunately, as stated, it is not an overnight process.

Great write up , and I agree with everything you brought up, it's all about opportunities and sure there is some opportunities to get rich but blockchain can offer so much more it can bring about a more fair and equitable world and that's what really drives me to this space , not to say that it would not be neat for hive or another one of my cryptos to moon and allow me to work on things I am passionate about instead of worrying about money
