Broken HBD peg?

in LeoFinance7 hours ago

Okay so I have been wondering why the price of Hive from internal and external market is so different.
Here

Then it has corrected to the same price for a short moment after posting my post - and is now having a lot of difference again.

It would be a good opportunity for arbitrage for traders...

And I was also wondering if Hive community is still active?
Which also seems like it is not..
Here

I don't see a lot of posts and comments.
Also not under my post asking for a quick reaction if they see it.

But now I have just noticed that the HBD peg has also been broken. Which may explain the difference in Hive price between internal and external market.
And also what makes the arbitrage more complicated. But also more profitable, as I will explain below.

I thought our decentralised stablecoin was something special
and new users by inviting traders to use it would also be quite good....

Have the stablecoin in combination with bitcoin ecosystem

I was writing about it quite some time (years) before the USA was going for their stablecoin strategy...
But the platform only focused on bloggers..

Having traders would also help the HBD peg.

Buy Hive cheap on external market, transfer on chain, sell more expensive for HBD on internal market.
Which gives you additional profit as soon as HBD reaches its peg again.
And also helps pushing it up to its peg again by more demand (by traders arbitraging).

Sadly our strength, the decentralised HBD stablecoin, has never been marketed to traders.
As I advised quite often in the past.

Here are some more stats on HBD:

Any more thoughts on this?
Have you seen any witnesses or other community members write about these issues?

Sad to see this platform in this state.....

But okay, Hive is also rewarding AI content and cashing-out since quite some years now.
While punishing true content and loyal users via downvotes and sock puppets like hivewatchers..
