No, the only math you really need to know is how much you are being rewarded for the power you are using. For XMR, anything with a CPU can mine it. More powerful the better yes, but it’s not about that for me, it’s about supporting the network and making it more decentralized.

Wow, that is eye opening. Thank you. It is nice to see that some people aren't in it for the money but for the growth of the crypto space. I'll look into it and see if I can mine XMR

Yeah, seems like I am a part of a dying breed of true believers

It's good to know there are some still in it for a good cause no matter how small the number might be. You might be those to inspire others 🤞

Anyone can set up a Hive or Hive Engine witness, but it’s a big popularity contest where the top 20 are the only ones who regularly get paid. I run a Hive Engine node because that is where I have built my businesses and I am in the top 20. I wouldn’t come close as a regular Hive witness.

Hopefully, in due course you're a regular in the top 20. What's your hive witness so I can give you a vote

I only run the Hive-Engine witness and it's under my account name. It's too expensive to run a Hive witness and not get paid for it.

Oh for tribaldex I see. I used it not long ago to set up liquidity for zing.

That's where most of the DEFI stuff and token action happens. It is the home of the second layer for Hive. They have Hive-Engine.com but there is discussion of shutting it down and just routing people to Tribaldex. But that's not in stone yet, I think, I'll need to catch up on those conversations.

I just upvoted your witness. I realized how 1 sided I've been on hive considering I hadn't used it till I added liquidity. Indeed, that's where most of the defi is. I didn't know that was a discussion. Hive engine seem to have lot of issues

Allot of it is people want to extract from the ecosystem instead of helping it grow. The HE witnesses are trying to make things more stable and fix some issues with the platform. The big problem is it is the same devs that work on Splinterlands so they focus more on that. There are big issues with funding so they just stay in maintenance mode all the time. Trust me, it's annoying as a front end owner and witness to see the lack of development.

Thanks for your upvote! You need to pick up some WORKERBEE tokens, which is Hive-Engine's equivalent to Hive Power. You earn BEE tokens for staking and have voting weight.
