I think with today's technology hearing loss is the simplest one to lose and to replace. A pair of glasses modified with a Heads Up Display, and microphones on the ear clip pieces, and then soft ware to translate to text spoken language, and to translate to icons and lines of other items, like footsteps following, car approaching from the left, and triangulation of gunshots so one could avoid danger and yet still have a sense of their surroundings. I don't think the feel of a kittens fur can ever be replaced by technology, or the feel of a child's hug or kiss.
