Lol...I figured that was the case...Bane of resources is pretty bad ass though...People are like, what the fuck? Bane of resources...Sounds deadly.

I've got a few friends that probably don't even remember my name...They're like, what's up fucker, in greeting...I respond in kind. 😂

Sort:

Ha, ha, ha. It's been a while since I had any kind of friend call me something like that. There are no cool names in my oyster. 🤣

My mates are mostly military and law enforcement types...They can be blunt, like me. 😄

ha, ha, ha. As blunt as children with no filter, I'm guessing. 🤣

Quite direct and to the point. It depends on the situation though, I'm not blunt in all my communications, just with particular people. That's the cool thing about being human, we are able to adjust our actions to suit various situations I guess right?

Well, I didn't imply the didn't know how to moderate their communication skills. Just guessing with an estimate of how blunt they could get. But you're right. The communication spectrum is a wonderful thing to tune down or up according to the situation.

Ha, I give one of my best friends shit, tell him that his name is actually 'Goddamnit" because he gets called that more than anything else. Probably doesn't help that we both have the same first name so nicknames and epithets are just about all that ever get used.

Haha, yeah I have the same sort of thing. You know, there's people at the gun range that only get called their nickname and I don't even know their real name. I think that happens a lot around the place. I don't really mind what people call me...Been called some reprehensible things by some terrible people, deeply racist and offensive things. Also been called some great things...None of what I've been called changes the person I am though, that remains constant.

Using people's true name is a respect thing, and I always make sure I get a person's name right - Later when the relationship is formed, and only if I really like them might they get a nickname, or get called fucker in greeting. A term of endearment indicating we're close enough to speak like that.

Sam and I walk basically the same route to and from the desert every day. There are probably 50 people on that route that know Sam's name and greet him whenever they see him.

There might be 5 of those people that know my name. That Sam is such a suck up.

Dogs are good for friend-making but for some reason people don't always ask others names...It's weird really don't you think? I mean, talking to someone regularly without knowing their name. I tend to ask usually, to be polite, but not remembering happens sometimes. It's the re-asking that can be really weird though right?
