RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 25: Your phone photo

I don't take photos on my phone, because the camera is AWFUL. Does my tablet count? If so, here's mine.

This brings back memories of trips with my daughter. I'm sure she was wondering why I wouldn't stop taking photos, when she wanted to paddle. Pretty sure it was still a bit cold for swimming at this point.

A gorgeous photo to bring back a great family memory! Perfect.

Thank you.
Gosh, I awoke this morning to so many notifications after leaving just a few comments last night. I forgot I'd commented in places where people reply!

Kind of fun, isn't it!

It is, isn't it! 😆

Tablets count, especially if they are Panadol and I have a headache!

This is a good little photo and, yes, tablet photos count. I just didn't want to get into an iList of iStuff on my iPost as there are so many...So iSaid phone only. 😁

We're lucky in Aus, so many good beaches (iBeaches) to enjoy for walking, swimming and water sports. Lucky country huh?

iThank you for joining in this week. ✅

I prefer caplets for a headache myself. So much easier to swallow. 😉

The beaches are certainly nicer than most of the ones we could reach in England, with a muddy looking channel either side of us. I'm sure you can imagine how we felt like we'd landed in paradise arriving here!

I usually do the peppermint essential oil on the temple thing first as I prefer not to take too many pills...If it doesn't work then I escalate the matter to something a little less natural and more lab made.

Having seen those muddy channels for myself I can totally understand...I don't think people who haven't experienced Australian beaches first-hand ever really get it. (I don't mean consumer-beaches like Bondi and Manly (hideous). We have some of the most amazing stretches of coastline in the world. Paradise? Maybe, something akin to it at the very least. 😀

Peppermint oil, eh? Might have to try that. Sage tea will sometimes do the trick, but if it's still kicking my brain around the following day I have recently started giving in and going for a paracetamol. They aren't always guaranteed to work either, though, which is why I try to avoid them too, if I can.

Never been to Bondi or Manly. We had a brief visit to the Gold Cost a few years ago, but it was still early autumn and a bit cold for doing much beach wise. Can't remember what the beach we visited was, but it was pretty empty and had big waves. Glenelg is a bit too consumer for me, but bearable.

I've done a little surfing (badly) at the Goldie...Not bad for surfing but it's certainly not my favourite beach. Don't worry, you're not missing out on anything at Bondi and Manly, just packed out tourist-loaded areas...I prefer more solitude than that. Silver sands here in Adelaide is nice, and Southport and Port Noarlunga beaches also. Of course, when out of the city there's so many good ones.

Try the peppermint oil on the temples thing...Seems to work about 40% of the time, for mild headaches. When it doesn't, pop Panadols like Tic Tac's. (This is bad advice, just saying.) 😆

So catch it early, then. I might try peppermint tea, too. After all, it's something that actually grows for me.

So you wouldn't fancy some of the Chinese beaches then? I wonder if they make Bondi look abandoned.

Hmm, let's go with a big huge no! Looks hideous. Give me an Australian beach over that debacle anyday.

I know a whole bunch of paradise grade spots on the Pacific coast but it's seriously too cold to get in the water if you are over 10 years old. Under 10 year olds don't have fully formed nerves in their skin and will frolic in frozen water if they can break the ice.

Is that why kids are in the water in any weather? nerves...I thought they were just crazy little buggers! :)

Methinks my eyes ihurt after all this italk of istuff all over the iplace! Nice photo @minismallholding ! The pink shell really stands out. I used to live by the beach pictures like that make me miss it a lil.

It's a lot of iThingy's in one comment, I know.

Those shells always look so bright when wet, but aren't quite so vivid when dry.

They do! We used to have some orange colored ones when I grew up. That and seaglass, that looks pretty wet but bland dry.

Maybe it's nature's way of getting us to leave things where they belong. 😁

That's a pretty nice photo, I like how red that shell is and then the other two just blending in almost with the sand. Mother Natures Color Splash.

Yes, colour splash is right. It's best done in situ too, because when it dries it's never quite as vivid.

I wonder how often color splash was used before Spielberg holocaust movie "Schindler's List".

I think when we are crazy about taking photographs....we can take it with phone, tablet, camera, gopro,..😃 and That's a stunning shot 😍

Thank you. My daughter's actually supposed to be the photography enthusiast and she's good when she's interested, but not always interested. I'm trying to get creative with my basic point and click on my tablet and she's got a better phone camera as well as a propper camera, but she's gotten bored and wants to go! 😅

Oh, my... This reminds me of how much I need to go to the beach. Worst part? I'm very close and people are doing so many stupid things to get sick that I'm better off waiting.

:(
Which country are you? At the moment, in Australia, it's summer, so not much chance of anything surviving long outside the body outdoors. Also not a highly populated state, so it's easy to keep your distance from others for a day at the beach.

I'm from Venezuela. We don't have the weather issue as temperature stays almost the same during the whole year here in the tropic. However, as getting sick has become a luxury (another socialist victory), I wouldn't dare going to open spaces. Especially, when I know how irresponsible people are with masks and distance.

getting sick has become a luxury

It certainly puts a different perspective on things. Take care of yourself.

I always do. But some things are unavoidable.
