Painters and Drawers || What represents my love of the planet and nature

podwojne pioro zlote gradient.png

Let Nature save you.

The 'planet is under threat' narrative has been with us for many years. We are adapting our crops and livestock breeding, so we don't use up the extremely valuable fresh water supply too quickly. We drive electric cars to avoid polluting the air with exhaust fumes. We separate our trash, collect compost, use paper straws. Every day we hear about the catastrophic effects of climate change, for which we humans are supposedly responsible.

One would think, that nature is defenceless. That a planet without our 'efforts' and attempts to reverse the effects of a centuries-old industrial boom is Mother Nature's only salvation.

gold gradient pojedyncze pioro.png

Is Mother Nature really defenceless?

Mother Nature has the power of thousands of hurricanes, hundreds of cyclones. She wipes out human settlements with earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. She targets us with thunderbolts, she rids cities with tsunamis.

Nature is not defenceless. Oh no.
She has survived tree ferns, meteor strikes and dinosaurs. It has experienced heatwaves that burn the earth to ashes as well as ice age. We humans are but a brief phase in the life of the planet.
It was here before us, and will be here long after we will be gone.
gold gradient pojedyncze pioro.png

It is not nature that is dependent on us.
It is we who are dependent on nature. And only nature can save us.

Nature deserves respect. It deserves your attention, and should be our authority.
We should bow our heads, because we are at a loss if we seek a confrontation with Mother Nature.

We should allow nature be our salvation.
Let's stop getting in her way.

podwojne pioro zlote gradient.png

About the drawing:

I drew two figures, one representing the forces of nature and the other representing humanity. I wanted to reverse the narrative a bit and show how we are dependent on Mother Nature. I also wanted to show that Nature is not just a destructive force, but our chance to reverse our fate. By using colour I wanted to suggest that returning to nature will allow us to survive.

I very rarely work with colour, but felt it was necessary in this case. I wanted 'Mother Earth' to be both good and a little scary (that's why there are so much black and dramatic shadows). You can observe the 'gift' of life/hope that Mother Nature transfer into humanity, which is on the verge of destruction - second figure is disintegrating in parts where is 'away' from nature(legs). As always I count on your opinions!

I hope you have lovely Sunday!

What happens to these incredible works when they're finished and posted to hive? Where do they find a home in the corporeal world?

They laying around in random places. I sometimes give my drawings away to friends. Last 2 from Ballet-Masters series went to my Mum.

Once I have completed the drawing, for me that is all I have had to do with this piece of paper. I don't hang them on the walls or anything.

Nothing on the fridge?! A travesty. I have lots of my own photography on the walls around the house. I have an empty picture frame hanging on a wall at the moment, and I have to figure out what I'm going to put in it - probably a print of some digital paintings I had purchased some time ago.

I really wish my house had more wall space for art. Everywhere there can be a picture, there is.

I have white board on the fridge, and I draw some witty and a bit nasty stuff there, just to amuse my Partner:)
We have few graphics and framed dried plants on the walls, but not very many. I don't like clattered spaces, it disturbs my thinking.
What kind of art do you have on the walls?

I have a similar board on the fridge, it often has lists of shit that I need to do, but haven't yet done around the house. One of those things is to replace / fix the garage door, which has been on the list for about 2 years. It still works, it's just very noisy.

Sometimes there's even a shopping list written there.

I feel like this reply might become a full post at some point in my life, and it would be interesting to see what is on the walls of the homes of other people on HIVE.

Perhaps we should start a trend?

Most of the pieces are from an artist named Linda Bergkvist. My favourite is this one called "Spoiled", or this one, called Melody of your Demise.

Otherwise, there's a painting that my wife's grandmother purchased from a street painter on the wall near our kitchen table depicting a Parisian slum in the snow it's in an impressionistic style.

The rest is my own photographic work. There's a three frames, evenly spaced in the lounge. They're my favourite pieces I've produced over the years.

Also featured prominently throughout the house are my terrible and poor quality efforts to repair plasterboard / drywall from when necessary maintenance has been performed on the house.

You definitely should do post about it!
You certainly have plenty great stuff to show. I really like the last pic! Very intense!
I love the museums, and art galleries, cabinets of curiosities, antiquarian bookshops, but myself - yeah, bare walls are the best :)
I really like rustic, simple style. And books. Shelves filled with books. That what I actually miss very much, because I couldn't take with me my entire collection. I think I could live as a squatter in some old library.

My fridge has always some random things on, apart from quick drawings, usually some expired coupons 75% off for something, that I would never buy even with 90% off 🤣

It feels like a big effort to walk around the house and document the walls. :D

And a big hame for those bits of drywall. At least I'm not one of those people that has 400 dust gatherers cluttered around the house. I hate things that do not have utility.

Hey, I delegated 400 HP. I wanted to do more but it kept failing. I really think you’re talented and wanted to make sure you’re not limited in resources…I really hope to keep seeing your work.

Anyway, I wanted to encourage you to keep posting here because I like seeing your stuff. Hopefully this helps add some value to your votes or something…I’m not entirely sure what all it does.

Anyway, muchas benuchas my friend, stay well :)

I don't really know what to say, apart from** Gracias Señor!**

It will be very nice to have meaningful vote:) I do vote manually, so I hope it will be used well!

I am working on new piece, hope you will like this one too:)

De nada. I’m looking forward to it :)

Thank you very much!
Thank you for popping by!

The long awaited piece of artwork finally came in and it's actually better than what I expected ❣️

You never seize to amaze me with your artworks and the write-ups that back them up. Great work as usual ✨

@wongi!
Always waiting for your comments!
I am glad you like this one too. I find it difficult to work with colour, but
how else can I 'grow' if I don't try new things :)
Thank you for stepping by!

Always waiting for your comments!

I'm always here to give my view😊✨

I noticed the addition of green color to this piece. I saw a piece you used the red colour prior to today and all I can say is that the addition of colours makes it even more outstanding.

There are some pieces that look great without colours of course but this particular piece needed the color especially the green and guess what?

It came out beautifully ❣️

So nice to hear that you like it! Thank you:)
I have to experiment more :)
And I hope you will not let your acrylic paint dried up, and we will see something soon:)

Hopefully I get the inspiration to paint once again:-)

This is such a beautiful presentation, depicting that when we save nature, we in turn get saved in the same manner.
When nature gets endangered, the human race is in danger too.

Pure symbiosis! Exactly! I hope it is not an utopian premise from my part.
I would love to see that in my time here.

Thank you very much for your comment!

Striking artwork! I love the intricate work of the roots / branches and the bit of color certainly adds to your message.

While I certainly agree that Nature isn't defenseless and fighting back, Humans are making it damn' hard for Nature.

I love your other drawings as well and I can relate to your tagline myself:

I like doing many things. Just cannot decide what I like best!

I find trees extremely beautiful and fascinating. Not only as a subject of drawing or painting, but but their size, how long they live, how they live in symbiosis with the world around them - have no match. 'The Hidden Life of Trees' by Peter Wohlleben is one of my favourite books on the subject:)

Yeah, I am far from saying, that humanity is parasitic to our Planet somehow , but boy, we make it hard not only for nature. We actually make things harder for ourselves!

Wow, this is amazing! I love the drawings, well done.

Cheers! thank you for popping by!

Nature is not defenceless.

That's truth. Nature has the ability to take revenge whatever we are doing with her. It return everything to us in different ways. If we harming nature,it will bring bad consequences to us and at the end we will be the sufferer.

And in case of your painting I have nothing to say because It's very impressive and meaningful. I just loved it🥰.

Harming nature, it will bring bad consequences to us and at the end we will be the sufferer.

My exact point:) We try to change nature - she will push back. I am glad you find my work interesting
Thank you for stepping by! Always appreciate your comments!

Stunning!!! Stunning!!! Stunning!!! My favourite piece of yours to date! I absolutely adore it. The interplay between Nature and Humanity... the touch of colour linking the two... lifeblood to sustain and restore. Symbiosis indeed. And the 3-piece presentation looks outstanding. Very well conceived. It's an unforgiving cycle on the one hand and a forgiving one on the other. It all depends on the choices we make. I'm going to bookmark this one 💗 !LUV !ALIVE !PIZZA

I dropped in from Dreemport this evening. #dreemer for life.

ps: the other one I love is your dancer from the other day... beautiful 💗You have a rare gift...

Who’s this freakin gal with a profile that’s two months old, comin’ in here posting some seriously boss ass shit like an instant legend!?

Legit stuff, very skilled, not just at art but your presentation is killer as well. Instant follow…welcome to Hive my friend, I’m very excited to see you here!

EDIT: I also want to say, as a current dill-tolerator, that I’m tempted to hate dill just because you do.

EDIT 2: guy changed to gal.

This guy is a gal hehe... and isn't she extraordinarily talented! I couldn't agree with you more! I love her writing and her art. A true creative !PIZZA !ALIVE

You know, I’ll be damned if that didn’t cross my mind just as I was posting the comment! I thought…should I make this a little more neutral? But if I had, now so would not know, so this was good. I appreciate your telling me - and yeah, talented off the charts!

To put little more light on it - 'Strega' is a female demon from slavic mythology. The creature with two souls, two hearts and what is most important - two rows of teeth:)

That most certainly is most important. Honestly, for eating bagels if nothing else.

I was wondering what the name meant. Your work doesn’t imply the sort of persons who picks a name just because it sounds cool. For some reason, Azure makes me think of the color blue, though I’m almost certain no such correlation exists.

If bagel is 2 days old, even 3 rows of teeth may not be enough 🤣

So the Azure actually mean cloudless sky, or bright blue sky, so you were on the money here! In old French that would be: asur or azur, in latin if I remember correctly - azzurum.

I picked it not only because association to colour blue, I chose Azure, because one of my favourite unit in Heroes III(which is still on of my all time favourite strategy games) is Azure Dragon. Total badass :)

Azure Dragon

You've bluntly made me feel better, and I was planning to be in an exceptionally foul mood today!

So! Albus Zarathustra Lucimus Sir!, Thank you for visiting my blog, I am glad that so far, you do not feel that your time was wasted.

I hope that, in time, my posts will gain in quality, and you will find more reasons to visit me:)

Dill should be outlawed, its use condemned and its threatening images should frighten passers-by in grocery stores!

Hahaha! I love a well-planned foul mood day :)

Your blog already comes across very professional. I suspect you will rapidly outgrow the regular folk such as myself in terms of reputation and following - I feel special that I found you fairly early on and look forward to admiring your work

Thank you for you kind words, it means a lot.
Hopefully I will keep this fire going!
