Land Strategy
Lately people have been asking me a lot about what strategy they should employ if they are starting on land. Sometimes I also get questions about what is the best thing to do if they have only 10 plots. I can answer these questions individually or I can write a post about it. Better yet, if I can generate a plot or a visual infographic that might help them. In fact in this case I got the idea/request from @beaker007 which I am trying to answer or enhance a bit.
In the simplest form, this is what I have in my mind.
Less than 5 plots
If you have less than 5 active plots, believe it or not, that is most of the players, you should consider producing just natural resources. Grain, Wood, Stone and Iron. If you have a choice, Stone is the best option, because it currently has the best price structure. Do not worry about grain. Grain is very cheap, and you can just buy grain.
5-20 plots
If you have 5-20 active plots, that is still a lot of people, nearly 500 to be precise, you may want to consider some SPS or Aura production, if you have a favorable plot. An occupied or magical plot that is. If you do not, consider making just natural resources.
20-100 plots
If you have 20-100 active plots, you begin to have many choices. Hopefully you have put good cards in them. You may want to have a long term view on the project and consider making some Research points on your magical plots. If you have produced a lot of research during the land 1.5 era, consider not doing any Research. Most of the elite players are not doing any Research currently.
100-1000 plots
If you have 100-1000 plots, chances are you already know what you are doing and you do not need my advice! Just continue to do what you are doing and help the project and fellow players.
1000 + plots
If you have more than 1000 + active plot, I likely know you and you can teach me a thing or two :) Well you are vugtis, jarvie, cryptomancer, queenofmonsters, leveluplifeph and I know all of you and there is no point hiding your name.

I have tried to do a broader bin, as per the above buckets and did a count. I think this plot below is simpler in I tried not to use the word Land Whale! LOL!

Sometimes when I look at the data, plots, tables all day long I can't even see the most simple error! It was reversely sorted :) Thank you for catching it.
By the way, these infographics looks simple, but takes a lot of time to make. Much longer than my usual plots :)

You know there are charts that I plan for days. In fact this morning I woke up with an idea of a chart! I messaged @beaker007 for some data, which he provided in literally two minutes! 😂
Then it took me several hours to fine tune the data and then several more hours to put together the new chart and write up. I will be posting it soon!

A good tool for a educator. It is not perfect and requires editing later. But a good start for a powerpoint slide.

This is a good info. I am trying to guess if we achieved already 40% active plots of the total 150,000 plots.
We have been around 30% since we started collecting data. No major change.
Reached a similar conclusion working to exchange research into Aura right now. Slowly.
Yes, that is the most obvious outcome.
Interesting post. Im looking at moving back into research production as I build up my PP on a few of my lands as I want to build an aura lab but didn’t do research early… I have 10 plots but can’t really afford to stop with natural resources as I reinvest to add PP - it’s a marathon not a sprint though and I’ll get there!
With 10 plots if you start research now you will be negative for a while. It is a deliberate choice, but there will be consequences.
Yes, but without it am I never going to be able to produce Aura? And if future things are also gated behind research then I’m always going to be play catchup I suppose it’s better to take the pain now, feel for people only just getting in now
Yes, but consider why do you need Aura? To make midnight potion (for now). You can easily buy midnight potion for cheap at 2 cents.
That said, there might be more future use of Aura, and if that speculation is important to you, yes you should do some research.
Hopefully we can get a little clearer roadmap on what will be required to create the cards mentioned in the town hall, will help make decisions on wether to go research route I suppose
That is wishful thinking. Team have generated beautiful roadmaps in the past, and never been able to follow it successfully :)

Interesting assumptions. As I'm currently planning my next move, this might be helpful for experiments. Is it possible to just sell Aura, or does it have to be turned into potions?
It is not possible to sell Aura, as it is soul bound
