The Victory Was To The Wild

Growing to become a great man was his dream and what he aimed for in life. He has taken life as what could be described as easy.

Japhet embraces life as the best thing ever. Viewing his family life, he was from a rich home and from a home which was the best in the history of the city of Xim. Xim is the most dreadful city.

Japhet was still a boy and was about eight years of age when he began to go to the bush for hunting. No one had ever taught him how to hunt but he decided to carry out this all by himself.

Seeing the way he was growing so fast, his parents could not bother to ask about his whereabouts as he had been going and coming home without doubts.

Now he is 18 and big enough to have his own family.

He took his hunting skills to the forest where he had to hunt for some animals. As he went deep into the forest, he saw a young beautiful girl with charming blue eyes surrounded by some wild animals. Her charming blue eyes got him captivated coupled with the beauty. He wanted to save the girl from the animals but was stopped by the girl as the animals had been her guard ever since her parents died. Her parents were living in the forest and she knew no one as family members except herself.

Being in the forest has been her character and without a doubt, all the animals in the forest know who she was. No harm would ever come near her as the wildest animal is ready to fight for her. Japhet dropped his weapons while the wild animals faced him to tear him down. The little girl knew how to whisper to the wild animals to stop and so they immediately stopped without a doubt.

Japhet was surprised to see human beings making friends with tigers and lions as well as other wild animals. The animals have been carrying her from place to place and have been bringing food for her.

Hey… What's your name? Japhet asked the little girl.
I'm Molly. She responded.

How come you are so familiar with these animals around you? Don't you think they can tear you down?

Molly responded; They have been my friends ever since my parents died. My village rejected my family and so they decided to come to the forest to have their living. This was where I was born. Ever since I have been with my parents, I knew no one as a family. No one had ever come for a visit. I have lived my life as friends with these animals. So, all the animals were initially not much here but when my father died, I was left alone. I saw a young lioness which cannot harm anyone and so I was playing with her undermining the aspect of harm just because I was still a little child who knew nothing about animals harming people. So, she became part of me. One day, she took me deep inside the forest where they all lived. Then, the other wild animals came over to almost tear me down but after seeing me with the young lioness, they could not do me any harm. Although they attempted, I could not run from them just because of my size and age.

This lion right here is my friend and all the animals knew me through her. I have been in the wild for over 15 years now and have been enjoying it.

Japhet could not hold it but got afraid when the whole animals came together. All the wild animals surround Molly while Japhet was also with her. He was afraid and wanted to run away, but was stopped by Molly. He became known to them but yet to know their body language except for Molly.

After five days of leaving home, Japhet's parents began to search for their boy. They searched the bush around and went to the extent of searching the nearby forest but all to no avail. They went back home weeping that they have lost their child. They also concluded that wild animals may have taken the life of their son.

After a week, Japhet returned home. His father was very happy to embrace him. Being from a rich family, the way he was welcomed was quite different and his family always saw him as someone with a bold mind and heart.

The once strong and dreaded City of Xim became loose. They have been so proud of themselves as the giant of all the Land around without thinking of their enemy's weaknesses instead their weakness was used against them. They are still low-key trying to restrategize. After two months, war broke out and the City of Xim was caught unaware. They saw their enemies from a distance and were trying their little method to bring the little warriors together, but were not as much as their enemies. Their enemies have gained more followers from different cities just to win them.

Japhet could not hold it, instead ran back to the forest to inform Molly about the invasion of his city. Molly called all the animals together with just one voice. They were altogether 6,000 and of different types. They are enough to fight the enemies. Molly knew the language she would use which would make the animals concur with her words. She also knew how to call all other wild animals together.

They gathered and headed to the north side of the City of Xim where their enemies were located. It took them three hours to get to the North side of the City of Xim. The enemies were still waiting for the warriors who had gone to get information about what was going on in the City of Xim.

The wild animals were waiting for Molly to give the go-ahead before fighting. Now, the warriors of the City of Xim are ready to fight but were just so few since they could not get information to their other villages around to send in their best men.

So, those they sent came back and without wasting time, were ready for war. The enemies were ready while those in the city were also ready. War broke out but something they were not expecting happened. Wild animals came out after Molly signalled them and were taking the enemies down before fighting with the people of Xim. They were not able to fight against the People of Xim before the animals took over.

There was no doubt about it as they all fled for their lives. Japhet was later praised for the great help he has done to support his land. Molly later became married to Japhet and the animal kingdom was not left to suffer instead was taken care of. The wild animals were not allowed to return instead were given refuge at the end of the City. They became their guard.

Hello @abigail04,

You show great imagination in this story. We are able to 'see' the girl surrounded by animals. Your description of her relationship with the animals is charming. Convincing. The alliance between Molly and Japhet is a nice twist.

One suggestion: when Japhet first comes upon Molly you describe her as a "little young girl". Afterwards you write that she has been in the forest for 15 years. That would make her not a little young girl. It might be better if you at first describe her as a girl, perhaps a beautiful girl, or a petite girl. She marries Japhet also, which means she can't be a "little young girl". That wouldn't be logical. (Just a thought...easy to edit that out).

I have edited it. Thanks a lot.

I liked how Japhet-Molly's bound brought peace to Xim. It truly points out the power of love, I guess!

Keep up the good work.

It was truly hard for him but he made xim free from it's enemies

You've created a beautiful and elaborate fantasy tale, @abigail04. I loved how the animals Japhet had feared became his best allies, and how Molly and Japhet were married in the end.

Thanks a lot ma'am

Interesting story @abigail04 . You put a humane spin on wild animals. The little girl understood them and could communicate with them. I imagine that we humans will one day get to that beautiful coexistence with the other living beings "wrongly called wild".
