We wait, we hope

In the midst of the sunset,
With the eery feeling of tranquility
The soul is at rest, the mind is calm
And our hearts still.
We breathe in and exhale slowly
We ponder, we wonder, we brood
Flashbacks play over in our minds
We seem amazed, we're left in awe
So many things have gone past us
Here we are still standing strong
A lot more lies ahead of us
Then we breathe in and exhale again
Still looking towards the horizon
The winds being our companion
We let the thoughts soak in,
What's next will be
As we sit and wait,
Our feet is embraced by the sand
There our dreams are birthed
And our Creator constantly watches.
Beautiful poem. I love the quiet solitude always. Thinking, wondering, and pondering. You have described me. Have you been looking into my sould, the depth of my being. No. Only He can do that. What I do realize is that when someone else speaks to you of your innermost thoughts, you realize we are all the same.
