THOSE WHO BENEFIT THE MOST FROM THE CURRENT SYSTEM SHOULD CONTRIBUTE THE MOST
The "MOST" what exactly?
Two things.
1 - RECEIVING 'government' benefits, would qualify (under your opinion) for 'SHOULD CONTRIBUTE'.
2 - "Most"..... Most % of income? Or just most income? Most effort?
Are you saying that those that 'make more money' should pay a higher % tax, or just 'more money'? If you feel the latter, I agree.
If I were to institute a 'fair' tax, it would be a flat tax across the board. Like a sales tax, oh wait, we have one......the only one I can morally feel ok with....
What are all those other taxes again? Oh yeah, THEFT. Period. However, to be a FAIR THEFT, a flat tax is a must. 10% is 10% is 10% whether you make $1,000/year or $1,000,000,000/year.
The problem is 'special treatment'.
CORPORATE WELFARE DWARFS INDIGENT WELFARE.
Which Logical Fallacy is that response?
Refining the scope of the debate is not necessarily a logical fallacy.
Correct, but if evading points that counter your logic? Could that fall under:
I'm not arguing for any "exception".
I thought you were going for "tu quoque".
Haha nice. No but that is a fallacy I sure found worthy of writing about :)

∴
Under Maritime, "The People" = A Corporation no?
"Person" = Corporate entity?
So then, you would be correct, but you evaded my #1 point, and evaded my #2 question/clarification.
I'm basing all of that on your "SHOULD CONTRIBUTE".
Beneficiaries of CORPORATE Welfare.........should contribute? And those that 'get the most' should contribute the most?
Can you drill down on my points, and address them?
