This painting is a small project that I started a little over a month ago but that I should have abandoned shortly after, I did not have a study or previous composition, since I used this project more as a practice. The painting does not have any reference in photography or in any image of yesteryear, the composition is completely original, although I do consider that it has great influence from a previous work, specifically that of The Faces of War, especially for the color palette and the reference to the atmosphere that surrounds the painting, which, although it is made up of warm colors, is wrapped in gloom and a cold silence as if it were the longest night, the peace before the storm, the brief moments of coexistence before combat.

This work then makes a crude reference to the ravages of war in the soul of the common being, of those who have dreams and aspirations and are dragged into a conflict over which they have no choice, innocent young people live in hell while those who When tribulations begin, they rest hidden behind fortresses, protecting their lives while they send others to die. And at the same time it is a reference to the pride of all those who have risen up against oppression and have fought to the last consequences for a just cause.

A group of soldiers is shown outside an establishment, in brief moments of coexistence, however you can see the pain and sadness in their eyes, the fear of death for more glories that are tried to attach to it.
