Senke u dvorištu.Shadows in the yard.

in Sketchbook4 months ago

I painted a yard. It's not just any yard, but one where time stands still and shadows speak the language of silence. The white stairs lead to something invisible, maybe home, maybe memories. The shadows of the trees break on them, spilled over the concrete, over the cracks that seem to remember footsteps and silence.
Like a spider's web watching weathered concrete full of tiny cracks.

Lush treetops, although out of frame, are present with their presence in every gray-blue shade. They don't just cast a shadow, they tell the story of the sea, the Mediterranean light and the serenity of the fading late afternoon.

I found this scene in a coastal street, the one that combines public and hidden, passers-by and silence.

Boje su svedene, gotovo monohromatske, ali duboke.

The colors are reduced, almost monochromatic, but deep.

In that quiet palette, the fullness of life is revealed in the shadows — gently and carefully, like a whisper through the leaves.

This watercolor is an attempt to capture what is fleeting and unobtrusive, light that does not impose itself, but leaves a trace.

Wow, the way you painted the shadows is absolutely masterly 👌🏻, it makes me feel that the sky is so clear and sunny and that there's such a fresh shadow under those trees 🌞🌳😌.

Have you thought about being an art critic?
Your sensibility is beyond any formal diploma.

Thank you my heart. 🌹

😳🙈, me? I haven't. Wow, thank you for those beautiful and so generous words, I really appreciate it, thank you very much @vragolana friend 🙏🏻 that's so kind of you 💖. Well, I think you must be an art expert to work as an art critic, or not? When I see a painting, what I really evaluate in it is what it transmits to me, what it makes me feel and where it takes me, more than its style, the handling of lines, and things like that, which is what I think art critics look at. Their appreciation focus on the technique, mine is more intuitive, sensory, it's closer to everyday, maybe because I love to make art but at the same time I don't know much about art at a professional level 🤔.
