Since I was a child, what most relaxed me in the world was drawing, but I never made a professional artistic career, I have always learned in a self-taught way, in my mind I am deciphering lights, shadows, colors, effects, shapes. Art was present in my environment since childhood, my dad is a great photographer, I loved to develop black and white photographs with him, some on a matte paper so that with crayons I could give them color, I remember that in my grandparents' house there were small oil paintings on canvas painted by his brother who is a great musician, when my paternal grandmother "scribbled" a drawing for me, I found it incredibly beautiful, she has magical hands to create. Sometimes we went to visit a goldsmith friend's house, then a couple of Cuban sculptors moved next to my house, I was very moved by their story, and I loved the sculptures they made, in the afternoons, after school I asked my dad to take me with them, I was 9 years old, and some mischief I made for artistic purposes, several sacks of lime that were at home, I opened them believing that with that I could make plaster sculptures like those of my new neighbors.

During my adolescence I was attracted to the world of street art, I found it fascinating to be able to intervene urban spaces and fill them with art, color, life! It was when I learned to use the proportions, the first great challenge that I proposed myself was to capture all that I used to do in hours of paper, on large walls, playing with the spaces, then I began to meet graffiti artists who were fascinated with the way I used the colors and always invited me to paint large murals with them, Here I developed a fascination for the 3D style and this would be my next challenge, which helped me a lot to understand realism, that not every shadow and light should always follow an exact pattern, I analyzed in detail this in every image I saw, I loved to combine all this that I was discovering and I wanted to take it to more traditional spaces, it was then when I started to paint on canvas with oils this combination of styles. I found it really relaxing to the point of submerging myself and losing track of time, sometimes friends came to my workshop, chatted for a while and left, and I continued painting, I breathed peace.

One day someone lent me a book that made an analysis about Vicente Vahn Gog, I knew very little about him, here they deepened about his personality and what he reflected in his paintings, I was very surprised to find so many similarities between him and me. He devoted himself to his paintings for hours forgetting the rest of the world, his palettes with predominant yellow and violet tones, reminded me of mine, this episode called my attention, it was then when I sat down to observe all my paintings and noticed that in all of them these were the colors I used the most, also in all my works the scenarios were nocturnal, it was something that simply arose, I simply responded to this instinct, without having any idea that this would be something so decisive in my current work

When I was in the last years of high school, I had friends who were studying plastic arts, and in my free time I went to some classes with them without being enrolled in that institution, I sat in the graphic arts workshop, many students wondered who I was, what I was doing there if I did not study in that institution, however the teachers saw in me an incredible potential and they wanted me in their classes, I observed a lot of arrogance and very arrogant people who thought they were superior to the rest, calling themselves artists, so if that was being an artist, I preferred to continue being just a danveron, but I also met the works of great masters of the Venezuelan graphic arts, I fell in love with Soto and Carlos Cruz Diez, I discovered a new love

the print, printing from printmaking. printing, printing from a matrix created with your own hands using complex techniques, chemicals, or sometimes even the simplest materials such as a dry leaf or a piece of recycled cardboard seemed so wide, free, complete, I fell in love with printing, I experimented and each one was different from the other. More than once I hurt my hands with the gouges carving a xylographic matrix, all my clothes had some stain of ink, paint or even emulsions for silkscreen frames, I met in those corridors great people who now shine far away from Venezuela

Some time later I lived a traumatic experience that affected my creative side a lot, I moved away from art for a few years, it was a very dark time and I focused on my work, attending personal matters, and healing, in this period art became present again in another way, I got a job in a gallery of high collection and in the administrative area of a goldsmith school simultaneously, here I learned about the cold part of this warm world, marketing, I understood that I could achieve great things because I feel that I have a great potential, and although I ran away a little art always pursued me for some reason, however I still did not encourage me too much by the excessive expenditure of time involved in this job, I drew once a year, I had no material for more than pencil drawings, as I knew a little realism, I focused my drawings on faces, I think I was getting a little more experience.

Last year during the pandemic my dad left aside the profession to which he dedicated his whole life, photography, he had saved a lot of photographic albums that he could not sell, these albums were made of black cardboard basically SketchBook for me, he gave them to me because he knew that I would give a good use to that material, and this has been one of the best gifts for me, as I had enough free time, I was going through all the emotional shock that I am sure many of you also had to experience with this radical change of life, so I saw in this a great treasure, a new opportunity to the art that has haunted me in every possible way since I exist, I had never drawn on black paper, many colors I had needed a white base, I had no money to buy new material, I was in a pandemic and I could not go out, I did not want to do more of the same, I do not like to copy, I did not want to do only white on black, there are already several artists who do it, And if I used colors I didn't want to limit myself to just making a usual drawing with a black background, I wanted something more, I wanted to illuminate that darkness as I had done all my life in the darkest moments, not to exist on a dark space, to shine within it, understanding that without it there is no light. I spend weeks without sleeping thinking how to externalize this and plazmarlo my way everything has been a mental work without watching tutorials because I ended up doing it my way, I have a peculiar way of visualizing the images I draw and that I break down geometric figures of different shades, it is something complicated to explain in words, maybe later in this blog I will make a video

Many times I failed in my attempts but comorendi and began to draw chiaroscuro with crayons on black paper, using a little paint in some details. So danveron resurfaced, this has been a huge challenge to bring the images that inspire me to that balance between light and shadow, add colors, brightness

It has been years of constant search for that identity that characterizes me as an artist, today I see how many people who are getting to know my work agree that what I am doing is very unique, and this is what I want to give to the world. I am not yet at the level I want, there is still a lot to learn and give.

Since I started drawing chiaroscuro I have been totally in love, to the point that I recently drew on a white background and I didn't feel so good, I love how in a way it represents life itself if you look at it this way, when your mind is calm in the darkest room you can see stars, when your mind is in chaos even the bluest sky can conjugate demons, this is what my work is about, to reflect that space of light that there is always in the darkest room, and transform it into something beautiful, everything fits perfectly beyond the drawing itself, from a moment as turbid as the pandemic, to take the best possible advantage, and this is what I want to share with you. The step by step of some of my drawings, the images that have served me as inspiration, the experiences that I live in the process that involves each of my drawings, as if you look closely tell this whole story.

¡Bienvenida Dani!
