Bobbysocks is an earlier and still working pop-duo, and it consists of the Norwegian artist Hanne Krogh and the Swedich-Norwegian Elisabeth Andreassen. The duo came together the summer 1984, and they played their first album in Silence Studio in Sweden. The songs were written av Rolf Løvland and Rolf Graf, and they are known many places in the world, and they can extend their ways of being to even more countries and even more places. They are welcome! Also in USA!
Bobbysocks contains pleasure and good feelings for many people, and they still do that around the globe. They won the Norwegian Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985 with the melody: «Let It Swing». The name Bobbysocks stand for the ladies attempts to reach attention with having socks above the ankle! So, celebrations and the vision to be free are strong factors behind the establishment of the name «Bobbysocks». It is really socks! Celebration socks!
Bobbysocks is still producing music that makes you getting in good mood, and having a positively orientated mind set. You find much of their music on the music videos in the internet, and you also find them in the conventional and innovative music channels like YouTube, Spotify and Google Play.
Bobbysocks has an exciting history, and especially the creative writer Rolf Løvland is great many places. And he comes from Kristiansand. And you can talk with him all the night! Popular songs from Bobbysocks are: «Let It Swing», «Waiting for the Morning» and «Walkin’ on Air»! And their genre in music is pop, and they are trying to play and sing songs that people admire! «Let It Swing» is about a radio that streams different kinds of music, and you can dream and dance in that music. They are singing that you can dance when dancing to you lose all your inner and outer control! That is all your kinds of control! Control is something we find in ourselves and in other people. There is comfort and stability and predictability when the control is given to you! You are always looking for something, and control means that you have looked on the same and/or different things than before.
Bobbysocks has its origin in Norway in 1983. And the band is using Sonet as their record company. There is still much to be done with Bobbysocks, but every band getting attention and popularity, should work hard for getting more and better publishing even later on, and to obtain that you must produce music, and the best is to create music pieces having large markets. And the audience should always be in good mood when listening to Bobbysocks. Bobbysocks is very known in Scandinavia, and I guess that everyone that is interested in pop music knows their music and their quality. And the singers are positive and respected women many places. But only future defines if there is a new birth for this group! The group is known for doing concerts and performances with established music and also new kinds of music.
So, many people in Europe remember the day when Bobbysocks won the Eurovision Song Contest. But a swallow does no summer! And therefore, we are expected more energy, many smiles, and new music from Bobbysocks. We wish them a happy and enjoyable life, and an exciting and an interesting career also in the years to come!
