If a person wants to swim, he will do it anywhere, whether it be a fountain, a pond, a lake, a river, a puddle... Civilized people or those close to them try to swim in specially designated places... well, or close to them.
Immediately there is a reference to childhood. There wasn’t such a summer that we didn’t swim. We gathered as a whole yard and went to the river. Depending on age, weather conditions and just the mood, the places for swimming were chosen each time different.
There were a lot of natural beaches with sandbanks in the region of Veliky Ustyug on the Sukhona River: there were already two places in the city center, outside the city by the bridge, on the opposite bank, at the confluence of Sukhona and the Yug.
What can I say, when there were three large rivers and a lot of lakes in the area of the city! Personally, I swam in all possible reservoirs, even in an abandoned quarry.
The rivers Northern Dvina and Yug were distinguished by an even greater number of sandy beaches. Only the channel Ryazanikha, which is located at the very beginning of the Northern Dvina, consists of sandy islands, small channels, shallows, sand spits etc. This place has always attracted with its pristine view and wild beaches with perfectly clean sand.
Now about Vologda. About the river, not city. Yes, I will miss the high shores, the sandbanks, because the Vologda River does not abound with this. Moreover, almost the entire bank of the river is difficult to pass because of willow thickets that are closely adjacent to the edge of the bank.
Therefore, you can swim only in some places due to landscape features, and not prohibitions on swimming.
Swimming has always been associated with hot summers. But I was always afraid of the dark water of the northern rivers and the strong current. In Vologda, the water is also dark, but there is practically no current. No matter how much I looked at the surface of the water, I could not determine which way the river flows.
Why, in the summer, is it simply striking me to shoot life in the reporting style? The answer is so obvious: all life takes place on the street in summer.
Another interesting point. If now it seems to you that you have already shot enough, then in the future you will blame yourself for filming very little and the topic could be revealed more broadly. This is so with me. Conclusion: you need to shoot always a lot, with a margin, for future use.
