in OCD4 years ago (edited)

Hi guys, Sid here. Time for the weekly Hive newsletter.

I hope and wish you are doing great. This has been one of the most entertaining week on Hive. Check out the #1 update to know why.

Apart from this, we also have rock-solid momentum and announcements. Let us quickly explore all the 13 bite-sized updates:

Note: If you didn't know yet, you can sign up by clicking here. Just enter your email address to receive future newsletters in your inbox. You will receive it every Sunday. With love. ❤️

#1: Biggest drama on Hive: In fact, a week-long drama comes to an end as crypto influencer says “Bye Hive.” If you haven’t been following this, here’s what happened:

- Influencer Cryptofinally was downvoted by the Hive whale(s)
- She then voiced her opinion through a series of post.
- This lead to a series of verbal fights.
- The fight was also carried over on Twitter.

#2: HardFork 24 Update: Estimated launch is ~30 days. This also takes into account 3 additional weeks — reserved for exchanges to setup the nodes. [Details]

#3: On CoinTelegraph: If you would like to read a simple yet detailed article on NFT, check out this article co-written by Splinterlands CEO.

#4: Blocktrades wrote an article on Hive’s future. The bottomline is:

“Hive is the most attractive platform for the development of innovative, decentralized applications.”

#5: LeoFinance completes one year this week. It is a popular Hive side-chain which was recently listed on Cryptex24. [Details]

#6: Dapp.com has released a new Q2 market report for dapps. It briefly mentions Hive and reveals “the amount of active dapp users on Hive has exceeded Steem.” [Article]

#7: Check out this alternative to SteemWorld and BeeMe (no longer works) called Hivetasks. The free tool comes with all the bells and whistles with a simple design. Enter your Hive username to see your data.

#8: Gaming: Pitched last year was a game called Crypto Brew Master. Now the alpha version is out. Mission is to develop your own brewery with the right ingredients. [Details]

Note: If you are interested in Hive games, read this article.

#9: Two more Hive updates: There’s an unofficial WeChat group for Hive users. See how to join here. If you want to listen to some new music, check out the Hive Open Mic community.

#10: Shoutout to @reward.app. It is an experimental idea to reward curators on top of their existing rewards. This also benefits the author. [See 1,2]

#11: In order to onboard various talents, there is a contest for new creators. Be it poetry, music, or art. Check out the contest here. Perhaps you can share it with your friend.

#12: Speaking of sharing with your friend, you can also invite anyone on Hive without phone verification. How? By giving them a free VIP ticket. It also looks pretty cool.

#13: Tweets of the week: In fact, we have three. One is a Twitter thread discussing Hive in detail for new users. The other one takes a stab at the worldwide censorship. And finally, photo of Hive London meetup.

Tip of this week:

“Sid, how long will I live?”  — In fact, you can now discover your time on earth using data. Try Population.io. It estimates your longevity based on your location. (YES — we won’t live forever).

And with this thought, we end this week’s newsletter. Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Wish you a fantastic Sunday.

See you next week! 🙏

Cheers,
@Sidwrites

Thank you so much! It's really fun to translate these updates!

Your link to Hivetasks is not working. It goes to a black page, just like Beeme...
Could it be a deliberate sabotage?
