How time flies! It's exactly a month already that I registered and joined HIVE.
I remember how @starstrings01 and @monioluwa preached the gospel of HIVE to me and how they helped me to get on board without hassles; I say a big and special thank you!
I also recall trying to write my introductory post here on HIVE which at first was looking like an insurmountable mountain.
But here I am, a month old!
So far so good, they got me acquainted with HIVE and its features such as the HIVE token itself, HP, HBD, etc. I now know its entirety is built on a blockchain which is a decentralized network. The Hive Power (HP), which has the same value as HIVE, is something like a lifeline that enables a user to be able to live on the network. By "live", I mean, voting, commenting on posts, etc. While the Hive-Backed Dollar (HBD) is what one could withdraw and later on convert to cash or purchasing power. Then, the HIVE Savings, which is the one I would soon venture into now, is a package in which you could save up your HBD and also gain interest on it.
Besides, this platform is not one of those get-rich-quick ones. Here, for one to earn you have to work for it. Being active by writing and posting plagiarism-free content, commenting on people's work or content, voting, etc are some of the things that earn you your rewards. And the things you do have to be quality-enriched.
At my first HIVE-Funaab Community meeting, @starstrings01 dished out priceless tips concerning making our presence on HIVE worthwhile.
One of the things he said was that apart from the quality of the things you do on the platform, the communities you engage in are paramount in you having more experience and ultimately, more earnings. Although quality is key, for it to measure up to its capacity you have to be active in whichever community you choose or find yourself in. This is why I take time out to reply to comments on posts thereby building capacity.
Another thing I have learned so far is that no one can underplay the power of consistency. I bet you know what that means. Lately, I have been checking out the profiles of people who I see that have made quite their mark in their sphere on the platform, one of which is @starstrings01.
One key thing to see is the way they have been consistent in being active on the platform not only in posting content but in interaction with other users on the platform too.
In just the short pace of my onboarding to this platform, I have met and interacted with other notable persons who have also affected my HIVE-Life positively. @chosenfingers @hepziba @profgabs05 @ijohnsen @heskay @francism @manuel6 @manny-uncharted among others who I could not mention. I use this medium to say I really appreciate what you do.
