Hello Hivers, Hello LMACians!
Before we kick off the next round, I'd like to introduce a change for how our contest's prize pool is composed. My aim is to correlate the size of the prize pool at least to some extent to the value that all stakeholders attribute to the LMAC and thus to our community. The more votes our community is able to attract, the higher the prize pool should be.
How to achieve that? By allowing the LMAC community to receive beneficiaries from the participant's post which will then be added to each week's prize pool.
Why making this change? Well, with this dynamic component every additional vote that goes into our community will incrementally increase the prize pool. I hope that this will provide a convincing incentive for all participants to actively advertise the LMAC to their communities and surroundings as to draw as much attention to what we do here as possible.
For now I wish to keep it voluntary for everyone whether beneficiaries are set or not. However, if a participant whishes to benefit from the additional prize component their respective entry post needs to set the LMAC community account (-> @hive-174695) as a 20% beneficiary. 100% of all received beneficiaries will be added to the prize pool and distributed each week!

For this week's challenge I have chosen a photo which I took many years ago during a visit of Palma de Mallorca, the regional capital of the beautiful Spanish island Mallorca. The picture shows the west side of the cathedral La Seu, in front of it an intriguing steel sculpture.
What do you see in this picture that is not yet there? Let your creativity run wild and transform this scenery into whatever you wish to see. Your imagination is the only limit!

If you decide to join the fun note that submissions to the contest need to be posted to the LMAC community to be considered as valid entries. Set the LMAC community account (@hive-174695) as 20% beneficiary to be eligible for receiving the dynamic component of the prize pool.

❗️ Please be aware that entries will not be shortlisted if it remains doubtful as to whether the elements used are free of any copyright protection. Therefore, please specify in your accompanying post the source of any used element so that one can quickly verify whether it either derives from public domain or is owned/created by yourself and submitted without any copyright claims.
Prizes
- 🥇 First place: 25 HIVE plus 50% of the LMAC's beneficiary rewards.
- 🥈 Second place: 15 HIVE plus 30 % of the LMAC's beneficiary rewards.
- 🥉 Third place: 10 HIVE plus 20 % of the LMAC's beneficiary rewards.

Rules
- The above photography needs to be the starting point for any further modification. I provide it for free use without any copyright protection.
- 📌 Entries need to be posted to the LMAC community and should contain a reference to this post.
- 📌 Entries need to set the LMAC community account as 20% beneficiary to be eligible for the dynamic component of the prize pool.
- 📌 Submissions further need to be linked as a comment to this post.
- Any graphical element that is added to the photography either needs to be your own original work (e.g. own artwork or photography) OR needs to derive from the public domain (having no copyright protection).
- ❗️❗️ Do not forget to indicate the source of all materials used in your accompanying post. Otherwise your entry can NOT be shortlisted.
- All sort of editing, modification and/or manipulation is allowed as long as no copyright is affected.
- By submitting your contribution you agree that your artwork remains public domain and that it can be copied, modified and distributed, even for commercial purposes, without requiring further permission.

Thing is, I like the logo very much but most of the used elements are licensed for personal use. Therefore, I'm hesitant to use it since the LMAC has monetary rewards involved and thus a license for commercial use would be required to be on the safe side.
I'm nevertheless grateful that you made the effort. I had anyway thought to make a call for logo/avatar proposals. So I will consider now in more detail how to do this during the next couple of weeks and very much hope that you will take part in it. More info will follow soon!

That's somewhat shaky grounds and I think the reason why they attribute a license for personal use only for all these assets - I guess they want to be on the safe side.
A public domain image is defined as a photo, clip art or vector whose copyright has expired or never existed in the first place. These images can be used by almost anyone for personal and commercial purposes.

There is really no reason to apologize. I just wanted to explain why I believe that I can't use it for the intended purpose. From a design perspective I like it very much and would use it with pleasure if a license for commercial use could be assumed.
I will soon make a call for logo proposals and define the criteria that I think need to be met.

Very nice scenery! The overlapping clouds are technically a new level in your crafting. At least I believe I haven't seen that before in your contributions. Nicely adds spatial depth. I also like the idea with the angel's steel wings.

How can I learn about beneficiary rewards?
If you use peakd you can go on advanced settings when publishing a post and then add the LMAC community account hive-174695 as beneficiary:
100% of the recieved beneficiaries will be added to each week's prize pool (as described above in this post).
You can't change it for this round anymore but may consider it for the next time :)

I went into advanced options and placed hive-174695 20% but it did not allow me to "SAVE".

Today I learned that: there are no changes in advanced options after posting.
I edited the post add the beneficiary but that option is not allowed.

You won't be able to update after a post is published. But you may consider it for the next round. Before you publish you need to click on Advanced Settings and then add the LMAC account (@hive-174695) as a 20% beneficiary. Best!

Welcome @shaka! Every little bit helps the prize pool.
The picture made me thinking about Notre Dame in Paris (although it is not, of course). So many similarities!
I compiled a few more impressions from my visit there in an earlier post which you can have a look at here. It's a beautiful gothic cathedral, quite different in it's appearance and surrounding compared to Notre Dame but equally breathtaking.
I probably have missed this post, as I only started to read my personal feed again two days ago :)
