Robots adapt to the world with the coronavirus

in Project HOPE4 years ago

Robots that detect fever, distribute hand sanitizer, sterilize spaces, deliver groceries and even answer medical questions about the coronavirus are a business option that some robotics companies have found in the new scenario that opens with covid-19.

reliable robotics director of robotics and intelligence, aswin sarang, grabbed four of the robots they had prepared, changed the software and turned them into something new and necessary in a country with almost 35,000 covid-19 cases and nearly 300 dead.

Four different robot options

Pepper is one of those robots. It is a small white humanoid 1.20 meters tall, 28 kg in weight and with a capacity to operate for about 12 hours, and is probably the most sociable of the small family of four robots recently developed by the company.

This humanoid not only understands and speaks 15 languages, but is also capable of detecting emotions in people and even recognizing their faces, making him perfect conscious and educating people about the virus through conversations and his interactive screen

Sarang explained that pepper can help doctors communicate with their patients remotely without having to be in the same room, helping to limit contact with the infected to prevent infections.

The little man has a rougher-looking brother with broad shoulders that comes equipped with a highly sensitive thermal sensor and optical sensor to determine if a person has a fever, as well as a smart disinfectant dispenser.

The robot is designed to collaborate in the fight against the virus at airports, shopping centers or hospitals.

In those same places, in addition to boats and offices, you can operate the third design of this company, since its function is to use and disinfect rooms when there are no people inside.

Finally, the last of the brothers, Bristabot, makes "contact-free" deliveries and is perfect for delivering basic products such as medicines and food to quarantined patients in hospitals or isolation centers.

This is rather impressive I must say. I figured new technology will emerge from this pandemic and here we have one. These robots will transcend their current demands and will revolutionize healthcare by reducing the work load on Doctors by mitigating the need for human contact in trivial health issues that could be solved through communication and prescriptions.

It will take some time for people to trust these robots though. I can imagine how uncomfortable I'll be if I have to talk to a robot about my health issue and then take its prescriptions lol

It is true that robots make life easier but this in my opinion will make a lot of people useless and very lazy. I have the fear that a whole lot of people will be out of jobs in a few yeatlrs time and will no longer have jobs to do.

The present pandemic has opened our eyes to many things ignored.

Though robot has been used but that strong belief and conviction in human concerning them is still in doubting state.

I will not be surprised to see an increase in robot use and efficiency during and after this covid-19 PANDEMIC

You are delegating to a project that votes plagiarism, and this is one of the "trusted" "authors".......as you can see its even the mod of the community...

This is outright plagiarism!

This ended up EXACTLY as I predicted, with the people in charge of the very project curation voting plagiarism of their own people,.... how did I know?
.........

I have tagged piotr so he can deal with it :)
Even trusted people can slack off and copy shit and we need to be better at checking that :)

If you read an article such as this and see no source you know its being plagiarized from somewhere, the only question is where from.
They know most of these articles he makes are spun/translated plagiarism. Its all a perverse game of abuse enabling and looking the other way.

Its planned, systematic, 100% intentional fraud, here you have another case by the same author 5 days ago.

As I wrote. I will let @crypto.piotr take a look at it and make a decision before I make mine :)

I dont wanna support content like this, but everybody makes mistakes.
And cant he get on the HW ban list?

I have downvoted it with 100% :)
