Some predict that it will no longer be the same, others that it will take some time for this to happen and thus an endless number of speculations based on previous experiences, or according to them say that it is so, others in references without any foundation.
The truth is that they speak of THE RETURN TO NORMALITY. Now, watching on TV or reading and watching on the net, or going out to the street to do some necessary shopping for food, a question comes to mind that does not leave my mind. Are we really in an abnormal moment?
Many will tell me right away that we are. But I would like to be allowed to discern about it.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, many things are happening normally within the abnormality that occurs in the world. World powers continue to fight for military and economic power as if the pandemic did not exist. Countries are threatening wars for territory just as they did before the pandemic. Billionaires are getting richer than they were before the pandemic. The ordinary citizen takes advantage of the pandemic alert to speculate and take advantage of the rest.
The burning of rainforests is happening more frequently and without the eyes of those who were watching this as they are now engaged in fighting the pandemic. The blockades of countries by the powers that be continue in order to take advantage of the pandemic to achieve what they have always wanted. Racial violence is at its peak, gender-based violence is aggravated by quarantine.
An unprecedented competition to see which country creates the vaccine against Covid-19 fastest without joining forces, just in the desire to go down in history for having been the first. Governments that do not care about the health of their inhabitants but about the economic revival of the country. Taking advantage of the companies to get rich with the needs of the users and thus an endless number of situations that happened in the same way and magnitude as before the pandemic.
Perhaps the only thing that makes a difference is the compliance of the common population with the quarantine. And I say only the common population because if you are an elite athlete, famous artist, member of a wealthy family or a royalty, they will be able with money to buy the pass to be able to do what they want.
So why are they talking about a return to normality when in fact we have not come out of it in the general context. Apart from the cell phone we have other accessories to add to the common list: mouth cap and anti-bacterial gel. The rest of the accessories are the same as before the Covid-19
That you cannot normally go out to eat in a restaurant, go to the cinema, to a party, etc., if it is true, but in the concepts of things of great importance, societies, governments, companies continue at the same pace as before. This pandemic affects only the economically disadvantaged, small and medium entrepreneurs and traders. The poor who have no place in the health systems.
And be careful, I don't believe that this pandemic is an invention that was created in order to subdue the common human being, no. Although I understand when someone says it. But it seems that the other diseases, which for years have attacked humanity, have been eradicated. That hunger, which is the greatest pandemic in the world and has claimed billions of lives, would be eradicated.
Back to normal? I believe we have never left it alone that we are living from another angle. Although there may be another conclusion. It may be that this VOLUNTARY confinement that I am carrying out because of the pandemic is driving me crazy and irrational.
