This Week in Hive Book Club

in Hive Book Club3 years ago

Since we announced the contest, we have received about three entries submitted under the first announcement post and several more under the tag #hbcjanuaryreview. Hence, there are seven entries in total under the tag #hbcjanuaryreview. We look forward to more submissions as the contest ends in about two weeks.

Another exciting news this week, we received a 325k CCC delegation courtesy of @pibara in which will be used to curate posts under #book, posted in hivebookclub, and also #literature that includes all forms of creative writing.

Furthermore, Hivebookclub is growing from about 60 subscribers to 96 subscribers with 47 active posters. We hope to continue to grow and support readers, content creators, and authors in Hive Book Club.

The January review is the starter to revive this community. Hopefully, there will be more exciting challenges and contest with a bigger prize pool in the coming months. With this community's revival, we hope to open an application to be a moderator and a curator. So, stay tuned!

image.png@ambafatimaTHE 100 (2015) - Book Review"The story is characterized by a unique atmosphere, and the creation of romantic and friendly relations between the characters can be shown convincingly and interestingly due to the in-depth writing of the thoughts and motives of each character".
image.png@taliakerchHIVE BOOK CLUB: A GUIDE-BOOK FOR HAPPY PARENTS OF HAPPY KIDS"The book has more than 250 pages, and each of them is useful. But the main point that is absolutely brilliant is that your kid is YOUR reflection."
image.png@laloretoyyaCurious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon"Don't be fooled by the title, it's not like you're going to find a case like Sherlock Holmes, although if it has investigation, this book is not centered on a police type novel that we're used to."
image.png @stevenson7My Top five (5) books of 2020" I didn't read much last year, but the books I read were quite good to be honest. I really love books, they are like television inside your head."
image.png @betrayoReading in 2020: My Book Review"If 2020 gave us an important lesson, it surely was that more time to read isn't a bad thing. These is even better when you have so many options to choose from. So, after I got fired from a time-consuming job, I spent a lot of time reading. These are my top 6 books of last year."

image.png@livinguktaiwanThe Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and results of the January PUD Guessing Contest"We have to thank Henrietta for all the medical advances achieved in the past 70 years. But have we? And who's given any thought about the HeLa cells, and Henerietta's family? Certainly not those who were in to profit from it."
image.pngThe man who fixed the bicycles"This novel possesses a fresh and pleasant narrative, somewhat poetic, in which the author takes us on a journey through the summer landscape to the rhythm of the waves of the sea, but which at the same time requires absolute concentration, since he constantly travels between the past and the present of his protagonists."
