Bueno llegamos al cuarto libro y la verdad es que me está gustando esto de hacer estas reseñas porque es una manera de dar a conocer ciertos libros y al mismo tiempo aumentan las ganas de buscar más libros, leerlos y seguir mostrando este pasatiempo tan enriquecedor y cultural.
Well we come to the fourth book and the truth is that I am enjoying doing these reviews because it is a way to publicize certain books and at the same time increase the desire to find more books, read them and continue showing this enriching and cultural hobby.
El libro del día de hoy es el faro, puede que sea uno de los menos conocido que tengo en mi colección pero sin duda ha sido de los que más me ha logrado atrapar. Si, es un poco largo, la edición que tengo consta de 526 páginas pero realmente vale cada minuto que vamos a gastar leyéndolo.
Today's book is the lighthouse, it may be one of the least known that I have in my collection but it has undoubtedly been one of the ones that has managed to catch me the most. Yes, it is a bit long, the edition that I have consists of 526 pages but it really is worth every minute that we are going to spend reading it.

Este libro está ambientado en un lugar llamada Combe Island, ubicada en la costa de Cornualles, Reino Unido. En la antigüedad era un centro que se prestaba mucho para la piratearía y la esclavitud. Esta es una isla privada que ha sido propiedad de la familia Holcombe desde aproximadamente el siglo XVI donde, desde cierto tiempo, llegan ciertas personalidades de elite a descansar o simplemente a desaparecer del ojo de todo el mundo.
This book is set on an place called Combe Island, located off the coast of Cornwall, UK. In ancient times it was a center that was very suitable for piracy and slavery. This is a private island that has been owned by the Holcombe family since around the 16th century where, for some time, certain elite personalities come to rest or simply disappear from everyone's eye.
El tema acá es que a la isla llegó un huésped que es bastante habitual, un escritor de fama mundial llamado Nathan Oliver el cual es altamente odiado por todos los demás inquilinos de la isla. La historia se pone turbia en el momento en el que nuestro escritor aparece muerto y es donde aparece el inspector Adam Dalgliesh, el encargado de esclarecer dicho caso.
The point here is that a guest came to the island who is quite regular, a world famous writer named Nathan Oliver who is highly hated by all the other residents of the island. The story gets murky the moment our writer appears dead and that is where Inspector Adam Dalgliesh appears, the person in charge of clarifying the case.

La autora de este libro, P.D.James, fue conocida como la "Dama del Crimen", además de que trabajó para los servicios de seguridad británicos, para el departamento de policía y para el ministerio de Interior donde fue adquiriendo todos los conocimientos sobre los métodos policiales que eventualmente la llevaron a escribir grandes obras como la que hoy les muestro.
The author of this book, P. D. James, was known as the "Lady of Crime", worked for the British security services, for the police department and for the Ministry of the Interior where she was acquiring all the knowledge about the methods police officers that eventually led her to write great works like the one I am showing you today.

Si, es un buen libro y es recomendable. La trama en muchas ocasiones te atrapa de tal manera que quieres seguir leyendo hoja tras hoja hasta terminarlo. Pero también es verdad que en ciertos pasajes la historia se vuelve un poco lenta y con una acentuación en los detalles que para algunos pudiera ser un poco excesiva, no fue mi caso afortunadamente.
Yes, it is a good book and it is recommended. The plot on many occasions catches you in such a way that you want to continue reading page after page until you finish it. But it is also true that in certain passages the story becomes a bit slow and with an accentuation in the details that for some could be a bit excessive, it was not my case fortunately.
En cuanto a los personajes están abordados de tal manera que los llegas a conocer a todos, desde los protagonistas hasta los personajes secundarios, desde sus emociones, miedos, gustos, sentimientos, etc. Como dije, los detalles en este libro no faltaran; cuando lees la descripción de los lugares te los puedes imaginar perfectamente, desde como son hasta los olores que en ellos pudieran haber.
As for the characters, they are approached in such a way that you get to know them all, from the protagonists to the secondary characters, from their emotions, fears, tastes, feelings, etc. As I said, the details in this book will not be lacking; When you read the description of the places you can imagine them perfectly, from what they are like to the smells that may be in them.

En conclusión, si te gustan los thrillers policiales llenos de asesinatos y suspenso, este libro es el indicado para ti. En términos generales es una lectura muy amena y una historia trepidante.
