Sweet Potato Pumpkin With Palm Sugar Coconut Milk Sauce

Hi vegan lovers, good afternoon from me to all of you. Maybe in a far part of the country you are already morning again or even vice versa. However, all these differences cannot stop us from continuing to take the best steps in this community. Creating warmth in communicating better in the future on this platform. Looks like a pumpkin at a glance? Or maybe it's far from that similarity. But actually I want to shape it to be better than this. Hehe, this is the result of hard work to create a different kitchen. As a result, I found the final shape in such a way that I did it manually. After several tries the shape is better. I consider this the best of the many forms.

Haha... it's not really important, but to create warmth in the kitchen, isn't it a quality taste and a satisfying end result? I believe that, because a beautiful end result is something worth having after the exhaustion of cooking in the kitchen.

Materials Used

200 grams of sweet potato
7 tablespoons tapioca flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
To taste pandan paste
To taste palm sugar
65 instant coconut milk




Creation Procedure


Step 1

I started by preparing the sweet potatoes, peeling all the outer skin of the sweet potatoes until finished. Then I cut the sweet potatoes into small sizes, so that they would be soft when boiled.

Step 2

Wash the cut sweet potatoes thoroughly, then drain briefly.

Step 3

After cleaning, boil water until it boils then add the sweet potato pieces.

Step 4

Boil until cooked or soft, check on a sweet potatoes, if it is soft, remove from heat and then let it cool for a while.

Once it starts to cool, I crush the sweet potato, crush it until smooth.

After mashing the sweet potatoes until smooth, add a teaspoon of salt.

Add granulated sugar, then stir until evenly mixed. Now here, make sure the sugar dissolves and combines with the sweet potatoes.

Next I started adding flour, then added it while stirring.

Stir until evenly mixed, then knead until smooth so it doesn't stick to your hands.

Step 10

Once the dough can be shaped, take a little of the dough then add the pandan paste, knead until the color is even.

Step 11

Take 1 spoonful of dough into a ball, then shape the dough on each side with a knife.

Step 12

Finally add the green mixture on top. Tara sweet potato balls are ready to be boiled.

Step 13

Heat 1 liter of water until it boils, then add the boiled sweet potato balls for approximately 10 minutes, or if they float, you can remove them.

Step 14

After removing it, let it cool, while waiting to cook the palm sugar with enough water. Cook until the sugar is cooked and thickens.

Step 15

Next, prepare instant coconut milk then add it to a pan, add water. Cook briefly, then add salt, stir until the coconut milk boils.
