Life’s accumulation phases...wait for it....wait for it....

in Cross Culture3 years ago (edited)

Life is at a standstill. “An accumulation phase”, for anyone watching the markets.

It’s funny how I use market terminology to describe my life. It’s so far from my roots, but I have no reason to limit myself. The markets are making me money and they really work as a fantastic metaphor for the ups and downs of life. I guess that why I got into crypto. I can relate to the crazy ups and downs, being undervalued for a long time only to become appreciated by the masses. I guess?

My main struggle in life has become where to place my attention. I’m always balancing so many things, but to be honest I like it this way.

The latest revelation comes from an honest look at my future plans. Do I really want to open a school? Well if visas weren’t an issue, I probably wouldn’t be thinking about it. I’m quite happy being a freelancer, but I want to not have to worry about my visa so much anymore, and starting a business is the easier way to do that.

One step at a time, I guess. I still need to save some money if I am to start a business so for now I just need to save money and if the visa laws change or the state collapses, I suppose I will change my plan and continue freelancing and doing other things.

Uncertainty.... CAN YOU FEEL IT!?

I sure can. But I am so used to uncertainty already. The only thing I am trying to get used to now is the reality that certainty may never come no matter how I try.

Still, stability comes from inside. Outer stability means nothing when things get shaken up. The things that seemed invincible can crumble overnight. By the same token, things that seemed impossible can become easy.

Perhaps I was right in thinking that all my dreams were impossible when I was young, and perhaps they have become possible. I can tell you that, as something akin to work, I probably love promoting #naturalmedicine more than teaching.

It feels like one of my many callings. Getting people excited about what we can do if we put our energy in the right place. Finding redundancies and opportunities and coming up with new ways to use our resources. Do it for a community full of people I believe in.

By the way, if you are interested in building any kind of community on natural medicine, let me know. I will delegate some lotus to you.

I suppose my ideal life would be to coach freelance (not a company) a few hours a week, work on building up Natural Medicine (or similar projects) a few hours a day, and spend a few hours a day on music and writing. I could really enjoy that.

It’s not so far from reality. I just have to figure out the visa thing and the taxes thing.

It’s funny. I used to dream about the collapse of the state, but when it finally seems like a possibility, I realize how unprepared we are, and how easy it would be for tyrants to take advantage so it’s no longer something I wish for. At the same time, the end of taxes and visas would be a godsend. It could potentially make my life a whole lot easier, so long as people aren’t fighting in the streets.

Somehow I think Japan would not fall apart as easily as most other countries though.

How did we get from mental and emotional state to the markets to hive to politics? This is the mind I’m working with 😂.

I really want to have some fun soon. I’ve been working on my body a lot and really improving my overall state. Found some points in my neck that help my whole body relax when I massage the soreness out of them. I want to dance! I want to play some video games (it’s been how many years?) and I want to make music again!

Oh 2021 you big arbitrary creature you, what do you have in store for me?

❤️

Hahahah... By the end of the day, we ended up jumping from one topic to another and every single one of them that you outlined was worth the effort made towards reading it, thinking over it and laughing over it.

Well, we are already in this year and it is a year that people jumped into with a lot of inspiration after seeing how things happened last year. We were all inspired and we are also hopeful that this year won't lock us behind closed doors like last year but the funny thing is that l know some students that are already used to the life that they were living within those periods of being locked indoor. This is the case for those that were able to find something worth their time to invest in and earn from it.

You also have alot of plans and you can do all these especially that aspect of running a business. The only question left to be asked is; Are You Ready?

I feel like I can do in 3 months what used to take me a year. So the last year or 6 has been great training for me!

It's kind of difficult not to get your projects on Hive not be tangled into the market. And it's even more difficult to not be tangled to the market when your hive based projects are what you're passionate about. It just follows as a consequence but not entirely something bad as you get to hit a lot of birds in one stone kind of deal. I find myself trying to increase my literacy in trading crypto just from lurking at trade chats and viewing leofinance posts.

Hive has been a platform that I have been using more as a social media site now, no joke. I log in on FB around less than 5 min a day just to get updates then proceed to opening Hive and see what's up most of the online time if I'm not studying. I think it's safe to say as long as you're passionate about your hive building projects, your future is tied to crypto and whatever happens on 2021, you'd be affected as long as it's crypto too.

I'm hoping for this blockchain to have multiple platforms built on top to increase our productivity. More than just a social media but a place where people can learn how to market themselves and bank crypto style.

I don’t fee any pull to Facebook anymore. Since last week I haven’t opened the app once other than to do some hive promo in groups.

The best thing I ever did was to decide that all my hive work would be stuff I wanted to do anyway. The topics I write about, the groups I organize and am involved in, they’re all stuff I’d do for free. Then you get paid for it and it’s just amazing. The possibilities are endless with front ends 😃

Yeah, I like the thought of getting paid for doing what you love. Doesn't work in the old world model before crypto and it still has some limits given the movement is pulled back by traditional habits. I want to see more tribes prospering because it lifts the value of Hive as a token indirectly.

They're quite easy associations if Taraz's posts are anything to go by XD

And on associating yourlife with the markets, I often associate how I work with computers if it's any consolation x_x

My main struggle in life has become where to place my attention

I remember this one. It happened shortly after the kids got old enough to start doing stuff and suddenly I had to do a hell of a lot of things to do XD It resulted in a lot of stuff I liked playing around with getting dropped as every available spare second went into the project.

And some time was made for hive because it's both useful and fun.

Looks like you have it figured out for the moment til it requires another re-evaluation at some point in the future? :)

States collapsing sounds like a bad thing. Crumbling away slowly enough to have people adapt and adjust and make things better sounds more like how I would like things to go XD

Kids are a pretty big project. Making humans!!!!! The highest form of art 😉

Yeah. I agree, slowly rotting as fresh things grow around it seems to be the best way and the way it’s going.

nice post sir

Now you calling me sir!?!

yes sir. I wish you a good day.

Good informative. I very much like to have it. Thank you sir

Very good post sir, please good luck to you and your family

Very relatable post, @whatamidoing :-) Visa, FB, and ambiguity. I love your passion for #naturalmedicine. Later this year, I'm joining a plant-based community here in Belize. 100% off-grid, permaculture homesteads in a banana forest, so lots of relevant content! Even the initial mindset work to prepare for such a change.

I tried to buy some LOTUS, but didn't seem to have enough Hive to do it. I was following a super clear instructive post from @riverflows, but still couldn't complete the transaction. Will try again. Thanks for being such a creative inspiration.

That sounds like an amazing.community and I'd love to hear more about it! I'm sorry your transaction didn't work. I am not sure why... perhaps my instructions were dodgy. Perhaps try on HIVE ENGINE?

No, @riverflows... your instructions were clear as water! The best I've seen, honestly. It's entirely me. I will get it, though. And thanks for your openness to hear more about my future fam. I'm excited to share more.

Oh yes for sure!!! I want to hear EVERYTHING .. it truly sounds amazing!!!!

Yooooo glad you are back! Still in Belize? I thought I remember you leaving, or maybe that was leaving FOR Belize. How many people are there? I am searching for my little village still.

Ahhh you are back, I’m happy. Yeah, you should absolutely be using #naturalmedicine and #weed or #weedcash tags on your posts (forget which one it is)

Aw, thanks @whatamidoing! The first group will be 18 (with 2 more openings). We are at very beginning stages. No wells dugs yet. No structures built. There is a wait-list, and intentions to buy much of the surrounding area. There is a waterfall in walking distance! Established banana forest. Healers, artists, visionaries who are DONE with Babylon and its tyrannical ways.

I'm both surprised and happy to learn you'd even consider the possibility! If you're on IG, you can get a feel of half the folks @plantbasedbelize. The other half (including me) are still many months away from being ready to begin our builds. If you ever want to learn more, we can hop on a call :-)

Thanks for the suggestion to use the NM tag. I'll start doing that now.

I don’t I’ll be moving that far from here but I would love to visit and connect someday in the not so far away. South and Central America is moving up on my list! I think we should do some meetups when it becomes practical again.
