I've been re-reading, and reflecting upon, one of my favourite books called Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and I thought I'd share a few quotes here and there. Quite conveniently, I took a walk around part of the city where I live recently and decided some of the images I took on that walk may be suitable in accompaniment to the quotes I choose.

Unfortunately this is the way our puny little human minds work and one of the reasons our rulers get away with so much skulduggery.
Agreed, and for sure the skulduggery we're subjected to is at an all time high methinks.
We are of the same mind, as is so often the case.
Ignoring the complexity of life and all things seems to be the passion of many. I'd wager that those who not only accept it, but are curious about it are those that are more successful in life, on all levels.
Curiosity about life, and one's life particularly, should be something everyone does; I think it helps promote better progression. Thanks for mentioning that.
I see this all the time with people. They want to blame their fucked up life on one event. When in reality it was a series of bad decisions.

That's what I tend to say when my partner is (not) feeling (great) and points out a possible cause for it.
It could be caused by so many things.
And then there's Western medicine, where they don't even look for the cause(s) any longer ( as that wouldn't make them much money at all ).
Curing illness isn't good for business for big pharma and charities.
