The possibilities are unlimited here, infected and not showing any symptoms you take a loaf of bread to feed the ducks and sneeze onto a piece of bread, eating a sandwich at a picnic table, sneeze then throw off the rest of the bread to a squirrel..not to mention you just contaminated the picnic table....and this virus isn't easily washed off surfaces, some residual virus it has been shown can be left behind where others can come along, plop down and wella! it can now be spread to them if they touch the virus then their eyes.....and that is what Fauci meant by learning to appreciate this virus.

Basically we are screwed no matter how you look at it. One reason is because we don't tell people this stuff because they don't want to create panic. But if they don't educate the public they will just think in terms of their rights being violated. We've never had anything happen remotely here in recent decades as they have in places like China, Hong Kong, S. Korea, etc., they've come to learn how to 'appreciate' a virus and it's abilities. Basically testing is an afterthought for them though you'd like to think it's a forethought. Clamping down on the use of public spaces, washing and disinfecting publicly shared areas, requiring mask right off the get go....as a matter of fact mask are sold in these countries packed in boxes like we sell dryer sheets here. In some countries you are required to sanitize your hands year round before entering a retailer, big bottles of sanitizer greet the shoppers, upon exit you are required to do the same and during flu season you are always required to wear a mask into any publicly shared area or retailer.

Here there are people who lack the understanding of the virus potential, those who feel anything the government does is infringing upon their rights or those who are just to vain to don a mask or take other precautionary measures. Fauci, Trump, all of them know, they've also come to know there's really not much we can do to stop it at this point, we can't just hide out until it goes away or a vaccine is developed, even if we did or they tried to order people to do so they won't. Just look at the governors who have ordered people to wear mask in public places here and so far it's cost a couple of people their lives and another got assaulted the other day. What are you going to do about it?...we've been a free society and we just haven't taken any hard knocks when it comes to viruses in recent history. They've blocked off picnic areas, boarded up hoops on basketball courts, placed signs on playground equipment and people just come along and rip down ribbons, take the boards off hoops and rip signs down on the playgrounds, they simple have no idea what they actions could potential entail, they simply haven't learned to 'appreciate' a virus.
