I was surprised to see the bus LED display saying BON ANY which means Happy New Year in the local language: Catalan
So I wanted to share with you all and wish you a Happy New Year too
Even though this new year concept is quite fabricated and throughout the celestial calander there are plenty of new beginnings to be had depending on your vibe, I still like that we can collectively choose a day to move forward together.
For me the new year really begins on the 21st when the daylight hours in the northern hemisphere begin to lengthen, for those on the other side of the world its the opposite.
So its all relative the energies of new beginnings and there are always many points in the new year to start a fresh.
So don't worry about having to stress to meet all these new year goals. Work with the energy that is good for you!

Yeah I was low-key saying to my housemates on the morning of the 22nd, "happy new year". Xmas and NYE are both fake, honestly I am really angry about all the Christian holidays that are hyped up and observed, especially here in Catalonia there are a ton. I see it as a kind of control mechanism made by the oligarchy. Something like: "give the people feast days and holy days so they won't get angry about having too work to pay us rent every other day". So I have a foot in both teams, I am aware of the astrological patterns and moon and sun cycles but I still participate in the consensus holidays without placing too much importance on them.
Caga tio is such a weird tradition.
