Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of Brother Eli Soriano.
I Corinthians 4:6. As true Christians we should not go beyond the word of God and this should be our faith
I Corinthians 14: 37, Philippians 1:27, Romans 10:17. We ought to work and live in accordance with the word of God l as His commandment is what we should follow.
I Timothy 6:3. Indoctrination is the study of the doctrines and teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. The time time of Israelites and Moses are over. As we are in the dispensation of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 17:5. In religion, we should listen to Christ if we must follow doctrines.
Judas 1:4. In the early Christian community, the only master recognized is the teachings of the Holy and only master. Christ is our teacher, we should consult Him and His doctrines.
This is what will happen if we listened to other false doctrines.
Mark 7:7-8. It is evil to leave the commandment of God and hold fast the doctrines of men. If we follow the doctrines of men, all what we are doing is in vain. We ought to be very careful about the doctrines we listen to and believe so we would not be deceived.
Matthew 28:19-20. When making disciples, we teach the word baptizing in the name of Father, son, and Holy spirit. And teach them also to observe all the commandment of God which is the doctrines. Therefore the first doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ is the doctrine of baptism.
But before baptism, we need to understand and receive the word(doctrines) fir this is God's commandment. Without understanding the word of God, we shouldn't be baptized.
Ephesians 3:6. Gentiles are also fellow members of the church, partakers of the body or the church. We can't say we only live Christ without the church. Because it was Christ who taught about the church. It is the commandment of Christ that gentiles should be saved.
John 12:48. So for us to say we accept Christ need to join the church because it is very important. The church of God in the Bible which Christ himself taught. Any preacher who criticize the church and preach against joining the true church of God are known as Antichrist.
Romans 12:9. Joining the church is good. We should not accept any doctrine that is not in the scripture. We must be a part of the church which is the same body.
From the Bible, there was no account where the name of church was recorded as ministry, assembly, fellowship or witness. What the scripture said is 'upon this rock will I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail'. Not upon this rock will I build my ministry, assembly, fellowship or witness.
I Corinthians 14:37. Anything that is not in the Bible is not true doctrines. Whatever is not written in the scripture, we should doubt it right away. Example God will never move his throne from heaven to another place as believe by some wrong doctrines.
Matthew 28:20, Galatians 1:13, Acts 22:16. To become a member of the church of God, we have to be baptized. Baptism is a formal act of joining the church. Those who have received the word were daily added to the church.
How the teachings will help me in my daily life is that joining the true church of God is the primary doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ and accepting His word and teaching then baptism which is a formal way to accepting Jesus Christ and I'd be living in accordance with the word of God.
