¡Hola! hablemos de mi viaje a Machu Picchu en Perú.
Hello! let's talk about my trip to Machu Picchu in Peru. I have been living in the city of Lima for 4 years, before coming I was investigating my trip to Peru and I was uncertain if at some point in my stay here I could know the so-called "lost city of the Incas", however, for me it was important to have the opportunity to venture through those places and I did it! now I will share my experience with you.
La historia empieza cuando mi mejor amiga me da la gratificante noticia de que viene a Perú desde Canadá para reencontrarnos y lanzarnos un tour por el sur hasta Machu Picchu, asi que un 7 de Enero del 2020 mi mejor amiga aterrizo en tierras peruanas sin imaginarnos que luego de ese viaje nos pondrían en cuarentena a todo el mundo literal.
El viaje comienza un 9 de Enero a las 7:30 am, estuvimos esperando el bus que nos recogería en el punto acordado desde las 6:00 am. ¡hasta que que por fin llego!
The story begins when my best friend gives me the gratifying news that she is coming to Peru from Canada to reunite us and launch a tour through the south to Machu Picchu, so on January 7, 2020 my best friend landed on Peruvian soil without imagining that after that trip we would be quarantined to the whole world literally. The trip began on January 9th at 7:30 am, we were waiting for the bus that would pick us up at the agreed point since 6:00 am. until it finally arrived!
El infaltable desayuno. En esta parada nos llevaron a conocer la pequeña ciudad de Ica-Paracas, al bajarnos del bus nos hicieron recorrer algunas calles para ir conociendo hasta llegar a el pequeño restaurante y poder darnos el gran gusto de desayunar, (mi parte favorita).
Una vez que desayunamos nos fuimos al muelle para subirnos a unos botecitos que nos llevarían a conocer el mar y sus animales.
The inevitable breakfast. In this stop they took us to know the small city of Ica-Paracas, when we got off the bus they made us walk through some streets to get to know the small restaurant and to be able to give us the great pleasure of having breakfast, (my favorite part). Once we had breakfast we went to the dock to get on some little boats that would take us to know the sea and its animals.

This is probably my longest post, excuse me but I want to show you the real images of my experience.
Luego de un día tan agotador, llegamos en bus a Ica que no estaba muy lejos de Paracas y la naturaleza nos regalo este atardecer increíble!, les juro que nos costó llegar hasta lo alto de las dunas pero luego no nos queríamos bajar, así que esperamos a que oscureciera, valió totalmente la pena.
After such an exhausting day, we arrived by bus to Ica which was not far from Paracas and nature gave us this incredible sunset, I swear it was hard to get to the top of the dunes but then we didn't want to get off, so we waited until it got dark, it was totally worth it!
¡Las lineas de nazca! a este punto yo ya estaba alucinando jajajaja les juro que no podia creer lo que veía y toda la historia detrás, estas lineas son un grupo de geoglifos que se extienden y abarcan un área de casi 1,000 kilómetros,La mayoría de ellas tienen unos 2000 años de antigüedad, esta imagen representa las ramas de un árbol y fue hecha por la cultura nazca en el siglo I a. C😵 ¿una locura no?, pueden hacer una investigación mucho mas amplia sobre esto.
The Nazca lines! at this point I was already hallucinating hahahaha I swear I could not believe what I was seeing and all the history behind, these lines are a group of geoglyphs that extend and cover an area of almost 1,000 kilometers,Most of them are about 2000 years old, this image represents the branches of a tree and was made by the Nazca culture in the first century BC😵 crazy right?, you can do a much more extensive research on this.
Pd: para una mejor visión de estas lineas se necesita estar desde un punto muy alto, helicóptero por ejemplo

La hermosa ciudad de Arequipa,la capital de la época colonial, wow como empezar tengo que reconocer al llegar me sentí agradecida con Dios, con el universo de haberme dado la oportunidad de pisar esta tierra, no saben lo que transmite, las personas son super cariñosas y las calles se sienten completamente llenas de buena energía, eso sin contar que hay muchas cosas que hacer ahí.
The beautiful city of Arequipa, the capital of the colonial era, wow how to start I have to admit when I arrived I felt grateful to God, with the universe to have given me the opportunity to step on this land, do not know what transmits, people are super loving and the streets feel completely full of good energy, not to mention that there are many things to do there.
Arequipa is one of the main alpaca fiber producing regions.
Aprovechando que estábamos por esta zona decidimos ir a conocer el "Cañón del colca" es una zona que se encuentra a una profundidad de 4.160m, y yendo el camino a este lugar es una cosa de otro mundo. prepárense que los voy a spamear con todas estas fotos
Taking advantage of the fact that we were in this area we decided to visit the "Colca Canyon", an area that is located at a depth of 4,160m, and going to this place is something out of this world. get ready to be spammed with all these photos.
Y finalmente la hermosa ciudad de Cusco, se le estima como la ciudad más antigua del continente americano, allí se encontraba el “ombligo del mundo” (Qosqo), la capital del imperio Inca.
Ya sé que les dije anteriormente que la ciudad de Arequipa generaba una buena energía, chicos estar en Cusco y conocer algunos, solo algunos de los rincones que esconde esa maravillosa tierra me tenia el corazón robado, se que viajar provoca esta emoción de sorpresa y por eso yo estaba segura que si ya me sentía asi de bien estando en la ciudad de Cusco, al conocer Machu Picchu me iba a encantar!
I know I told you before that the city of Arequipa generated a good energy, guys being in Cusco and knowing some, just some of the corners that hides that wonderful land had my heart stolen, I know that traveling causes this emotion of surprise and that's why I was sure that if I already felt so good being in the city of Cusco, to know Machu Picchu I was going to love it!
Para poder conocer Machu Picchu hay que ir a un pueblo cercano llamado "Aguas Calientes" y para llegar hasta ahí debes tomar un tren, así que eso hicimos.
In order to visit Machu Picchu you have to go to a nearby town called "Aguas Calientes" and to get there you have to take a train, so that's what we did.
Esa noche descansamos en un hotel, al otro día despertamos temprano porque nos tocaba empezar el recorrido para conocer por fin ¡Machu Picchu! y así es como comienza nuestra aventura.
That night we rested in a hotel, the next day we woke up early because we had to start the tour to finally visit Machu Picchu! and that is how our adventure begins.
Les explico, escogimos subir una montaña llamada "Montaña Machu Picchu" que tiene una altitud de 3.061m esta justo frenta a la ciudadela y desde ahí puedes verla como el tamaño de una caja de fósforo, las vistas son magnificas. ¡NOS DEMORAMOS 3 HORAS EN SUBIR!😱
Let me explain, we chose to climb a mountain called "Machu Picchu Mountain" which has an altitude of 3,061m is right in front of the citadel and from there you can see it as the size of a matchbox, the views are magnificent. IT TOOK US 3 HOURS TO GET UP THERE!😱
Y si.. probablemente 3 horas más bajando😅 (mis piernas temblaban). y como resultado de todo este recorrido llego la hora de respirar libertad, de sentirte feliz, agradecido, llego ese momento que en mi vida se me ocurrio que podia sentir, Machu Picchu es una ciudad sagrada lo que transmite es algo más que increible, es una experiencia que quieres repetir, mientras más se adentra en la ciudad Inca se puede sentir una tranquilidad y paz espiritual difícil de describir.
And yes... probably 3 hours more going down😅 (my legs were trembling). and as a result of all this journey it was time to breathe freedom, to feel happy, grateful, I got that moment that in my life I thought I could feel, Machu Picchu is a sacred city that transmits something more than incredible, it is an experience that you want to repeat, the more you go into the Inca city you can feel a tranquility and spiritual peace difficult to describe.
