STREET ART #84 - Box Vincent in Mauritius

in StreetArt3 years ago (edited)

My first meeting with art made by Box Vincent, was here in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. This house was painted by him in 2017 when the city arranged the third edition of the Porlwi festival – a festival of contemporary culture. Both local street artists and international were invited.

Box is a graphic designer. In 2010 he was introduced to the Canadian and American street art scene. He founded Garbage Beauty – a popular collectives of urban calligrapy in Montreal, Canada. He uses the letters in a variety of dispositions that blends textures and symbols. Impressive work. For more, check his Instagram.

Great work, the style of Box Vincent is quite recognizable. In Montreal, there are some great murals that he did. And I love his humor when he signs Garbage Beauty...

Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Wow! that one is cool! I think his style is unique and as you write, very recognizable. You are in no doubt who the artist is. I like his Garbage Beaty..... Thanks for sharing this piece.
