I must admit that in recent weeks I have given much less attention to the Duolingo app. It has helped me refresh and improve some aspects of English in which I had quite a few weaknesses. However, I do at least complete one lesson a day so that my goal in terms of days or streak is not broken, as I currently have a streak of 76 consecutive days. This app definitely requires a lot of attention if you really want to improve your English. Perhaps one lesson a day keeps you active, but I would say that at least 45 minutes would be ideal. Of course, that means you have to be available, and sometimes our busy days make it difficult to even do a quick lesson.
I was able to advance to level 38, and I must admit that I did so with relative ease. The Duolingo app has an option that allows you to advance through all the levels you want by taking a final exam, so to speak, in which you can skip all the previous classes. However, if you are able to pass it, it means that you had the level required to skip those previous classes. That's what I did to advance to level 38: I took the final exam and passed it with only one mistake out of the five allowed.
I have now completed at least one lesson every day for 76 consecutive days. At the beginning, I devoted much more time to it and was able to make significant progress; however, the last few weeks have been quite challenging in terms of time availability, which is why I suddenly slowed down in terms of completing levels. I need to reach level 60 to officially feel like I've really leveled up. What I'm doing for now is refreshing some aspects, learning some words, correcting some grammatical aspects, but as the app indicates, after level 60 is when you really move on to another level, which in theory makes me understand that I already have more advanced skills than I have, at least as of today.
So that's the goal. I'm still quite far away, with about 20 levels to go, but I think that with time I'll be able to achieve it. If I suddenly find myself with some free time, I can devote more minutes and even hours to the app to accelerate my progress and learning of the English language that I love so much. I will continue to share my progress and experiences with this app, which I recommend to anyone interested in learning English, at least at a basic level. It was a pleasure to share.
