Greetings wonderful Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!
Here we are, suddenly at the weekend again, and that means time for CATURDAY! Time to get out your favorite cat and kitten pics... and if you don't have any handy, time to crawl around on the floor with your phones and cameras to capture the antics of your favorite feline friends!
I've been trying to make a habit of getting my Caturday posts out earlier in the day but that's not always possible around here because the Hoomans always seem to have a lot going on, on the weekends.
Maybe I need to have a closer look at the "Scheduled Posts" feature here on PeakD!

Closing in on a Milestone:
After more than three years as a member of the community, I am getting very close to the personal milestone of 2,000 Hive Power. That might not sound like much to many of you, but I think it's pretty good for an "all cat" oriented blog!
In any case, I mostly came here to have fun, and that has certainly been true.
I'd like to think I've also helped promote pet/cat related content, going back to my earliest days before Hive became Hive... and almost all the content had to do with crypto and blockchains.
Diversity of content is definitely important, as part of making the Hive community attractive to a broader audience.

Post Hardfork 25 Thoughts...
As someone whose focus is content creation and curation/engagement, I am definitely happy about the new "format," and no longer having to worry about voting things "at the perfect time."
After all, I am here to discover and support interesting content, not to watch a clock and count fractional cents.
I expect the changes have probably had a bigger effect on the very large accounts who run automated curation trails... but isn't this all supposed to be about the Internet of PEOPLE?
But hey, I understand that some Hoomans are "all about the MONEY."

Guests, and Busy-ness and Things...
And now, I must get caught up on my napping.
The Hoomans have had quite a few guests... including stayover houseguests... recently, I suppose in response to the fact that we have been "under restrictions for a long time.
One of their houseguests is leaving today... and then they are having another long-time friend over for pizza, later this afternoon.
SO much happening! What's a cat to do?

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

What a beautiful cat !!! Black cats always look elegant !! I'm new to hive (I started in March) so at least 2,000 Hive Power is a lot for me !! Congratulations! You're right, what I found most attractive about this platform is that there is a lot of diversity of content, there is no chance of getting bored! Although certainly the cat communities have been somewhat lonely, I like to at least leave my vote so that users are encouraged to continue publishing in them (although currently my vote does not have much power hehe) beautiful photos !! thanks for promoting feline content! 😻💖

Building a presence on Hive does take time and patience... I have been at it since March 2018! But it has been fun to be part of all the ups (and downs!) along the way.
The cat communities are a bit on the slow side here. @saboin does a nice job with the Caturday Community and I post there every Saturday.
I personally started the Hive Cats Community but I haven't had all that much time to support and develop it. Trying to change that, though!

If being part of something for so long must have their stories, I have noticed how some older users talk to each other in publications and it is nice to see how they have formed a bond on this platform. I have also realized that, that some communities are somewhat abandoned (especially those of cats) which is a sad thing, but I suppose that if we do our bit, people will cheer up I hope that Hive Cats will be reborn soon !!
