Vůně citrusů, klasická pro tento styl, mne již nepřekvapila. V chuti se dobře doplňovala příjemná hořkost s tóny sladu. Vytanula mi na jazyku ještě jedna chuť. Tou byla chuť čerstvé chlebové kůrky. Připisuji to žitnému sladu. U nás v Česku se totiž peče chleba ze směsi pšeničné a žitné mouky.
Pivo se pilo až moc dobře. Ovšem člověk si musí dát pozor na obsah alkoholu. Snadno by totiž mohl z Nachmelené Opice dostat „opici“ :-).

The citrus scent, classic for this style, no longer surprised me. The taste was well complemented by pleasant bitterness with notes of malt. Another taste floated on my tongue. That was the taste of fresh bread crust. I attribute it to the rye malt. Here in the Czech Republic, we bake bread from a mixture of wheat and rye flour.
The beer was very good. But you have to be careful about the alcohol content. He could easily get a "opice" (get drunk) from Nachmelená Opice :-).

Maisel mám „spojený“ s pšeničným pivem. Tohle, k mému překvapení, nebylo o pšenici.
Marc’s chocolate bock byl vlastně dost silný Stout.
Ze štítku na láhvi jsem bohužel vyčetl jen obsah alkoholu (7.5%).
Po nalití do sklenice jsem ucítil vůni nějakého koření (asi hřebíček). V chuti bylo koření také cítit, ale převládala sladce nahořklá chuť, ve které se jemně prosazovaly i tóny hořké čokolády s trochou pražené kávy.
S chutí byla spokojena i manželka. Po ochutnání prohlásila: „Tak mi to tu nech (celou láhev) a otevři si něco jiného.“ :-).
Samozřejmě jsem ji nevyhověl :-)

Unfortunately, I only read the alcohol content (7.5%) from the label on the bottle.
After pouring it into the glass, I could smell some spices (like cloves). Spices were also noticeable in the taste, but a bittersweet taste prevailed, in which notes of dark chocolate with a little roasted coffee were also gently asserting themselves.
The wife was also satisfied with the taste. After tasting it, she said: "Then leave it here (the whole bottle) and open something else." :-).
Of course I didn't agree with her :-)

Možná jsem toho dnes napsal málo. Další pivo z českého řemeslného pivovaru se chystám ochutnat až zítra, v posledním dnu roku 2023. Něco o tom pak napíšu až v další výzvě :-)

Both beers sound interesting, testing the taste buds whether one enjoys or not, sometimes it surprises one yet once opened must be had.
Stout beers more enjoyable during our winter months although sometimes rules are meant to be broken!

Both the IPA and STOUT tasted wonderful. However, the STOUT was more pleasant because it "didn't attack the head" but warmed up the whole body nicely :-).
Really better for the cold of winter.

Exploring different tastes that suite you, normally able to make quick decision. In the heat over here a light beer is great, black beer more for cooler weather. Have a wonderful day.
I "research" mainly on weekends :-)
And you are right. Light beers are more suitable in summer and dark beers are better suited to a burning fireplace :-)

Fatigue played a role here. When I'm very tired, even a weaker beer can "put me down" :-).

Tak uvažuji jestli jsem měl "žitné" pivo. Nachmelená opice je obecně fajn pivo. Sem tam si dám. Tedy když je u nás pivní festival, tak je jedno z mých favoritů
Máš to kousek ke "zdroji" :-). Já můžu jen doufat, že se to zas někdy ukáže v našem obchodě.
Vidím, že tentokrát sis dal na geografické přesnosti opravdu záležet :) V Krnově mám několik přátel a jsem si jist, že by je to také potěšilo :) Opice je skvělé pivo, u nás v Opavě bývá na čepu běžně. Do Krnova to máme coby flaškou Kofoly dohodil (ta se tam vyrábí též :D), tak to není zas tak překvapivé :)

O Kofole to vím, ale ta asi ve světě moc nezajímá, tak jsem tam šoupl ty klavíry :-)
