Very rarely do I ever have an India Pale Ale. Even more rare do I feature a beer that is not brewed in North Carolina.

Every Christmas my sister sends me a sample twelve pack of craft beers from all over the country. Twelve different beers from twelve different brewers.

My nephew, Jack, is a huge fan of IPAs and he really enjoys picking the beers for my Christmas gift.

I don't really enjoy IPAs, but since Jack really enjoys picking out the beers and sharing his favorites, that is good enough for me.

I will NEVER EVER say anything but these ARE GREAT! Thank you so very much.

With that being said and without further delay, presenting for #beersaturday

ACME IPA, an India Pale Ale brewed by North Coast Brewing Co. in Fort Bragg, California.

So first off the "label art" on this beer is OUTSTANDING!

I also really like North Coast Brewing Co.'s logo.

The draw back for me and most IPAs is simply it takes great skill to control the hops! If the hops are out of control, there is no way I can even finish the beer.

I love BEER not Skunk Water!

Piss OFF! Skunk Water is Skunk Water, and I ain't drinking it!

Besides the folks at North Coast Brewing Co. know that IPAs have this issue.

How do I know this?

It's right on the bottle! Well they don't exactly say the words "skunk water" rather they glossed over it with the word "drinkable".

IMG_20210319_171912093.jpg

I am sorry, they were so worried about the issue they described their IPA as "deliciously dry" and "eminently drinkable" aka "Definitely Not Skunk Water!"

Name: Acme IPA
Brewer: North Coast Brewing Co. - Fort Bragg, California
Appearance: gold color, slightly cloudy with a medium head
Aroma: hoppy
Taste: hops BUT as advertised eminently drinkable
ABV: 6.9%
Overall: carbonates well in the mouth, has a dry finish and a hint of the hops lingers

The true test is whether I finished Acme IPA.

Why YES I DID!

Cool review. Thanks for sharing it with us, thirsty tasters! 👍🍻🍺😎

I've got to try this one some time.. if a self confessed disliker of IPAs likes an IPA, it's got to be solid 👌

Sláinte 🍻
