Hive as a Platform for Rewarding Content Creation and Consumption
In simple terms, the Hive that we know is a blogging platform built on top of a blockchain. Content creators and consumers often come here to upload posts about their life, the places we visit, the food we eat and drink, the sights and smells of the world, finances and financial independence, blockchain, cryptocurrency, hobbies and interesting topics that draw people together.
Quality vs. Rewards
We also read about different topics here like we do in the traditional social media, which we knew from ten years ago, but with a big difference: we earn from the uploads we create after 7 days. We often see blog posts that get highly upvoted even though it's only a simple photo with a great caption or a short 500 word post that talks about a place that the author visited a year, or two, ago. And we wonder why did it get that many upvotes. Did the author have that many friends? Or, did the story resonate with more readers than what you write on your own blog?
Pa-contest na naman...
There are many factors that come into play when uploading blog posts. Do you want to get high rewards or just create a wonderful story from your own experience? Whatever your goal is, there are certain things that work and some that don't. So, in the spirit of improving the blogging skills of the peeps here in our beloved Hive PH, we would like to announce the How to improve your blog contest. In this contest, you can share tips and tricks, dos and don'ts, good vs. bad content.
Maybe it's the way you write or the formatting of the text or just creating a collage of photos from the images you took in front of the beach or waterfalls. Anything that may help improve the "quality" of post, especially for the newbies, are very much welcome. You can also write about what to avoid? Content that no one seems to care about, or maybe even got you downvoted one time and had to explain yourself in a certain Discord channel, to get your reputation back. Whatever it is, we'd love to hear your story.
In a way, this is our pitch at getting Pinoy authors to think more about the quality of the output that we put out, the authenticity of the write-up, creating stunning images, captivating stories about something that happened in real life. It is our way of pushing the Hive PH Community to become better at what we do, to learn from each other, and get something out of it in the process.
