En lo que fue la sexta y a la vez la última jornada de la UEFA Champions League del 2025, el Real Madrid cerró su participación con derrota ante el Manchester City de Guardiola; en esta oportunidad el club merengue nuevamente pierde de local mostrando en los primeros minutos una versión prometedora, pero que de igual manera se fue diluyendo ante un rival que también está lejos de su mejor versión.

On what was the sixth and final matchday of the 2025 UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid ended their campaign with a defeat to Guardiola's Manchester City. Once again, the Merengue club lost at home, showing promise in the early minutes but fading away against an opponent that is also far from its best.
A pesar de las notorias dificultades tácticas del Real Madrid en las últimas jornadas tanto en La Liga y la UCL, todas las miradas estaban enfocadas en las múltiples bajas por lesiones de sus jugadores, en especial en la zona defensiva en dónde solamente cuentan con dos centrales y dos laterales izquierdos, lo cual ha hecho improvisar a Alonso en usar (sin la mejor predisposición) a Valverde como lateral derecho, pero esa no era el único problema del Real Madrid causada por una lesión, ya que Kylian Mbappé, estaba en duda para enfrentar este encuentro por molestias musculares en su pierna izquierda y la fractura de un dedo de su mano; ya con esas características que presentaba el club merengue, muchos aficionados pensaron que sería muy difícil que el Real Madrid obtuviera un resultado positivo, pero esto es.futbol y en anteriores enfrentamientos, los Blancos siempre jugaron muy bien contra los Azules de Manchester.

The rest of the starting 11 included players such as Tchouameni, Valverde, Bellingham, Rudiger, Courtois, and Rodrygo, which made me think that once again the pieces were in place for Real Madrid to have a good game.
Los locales demostraron un gran convencimiento en querer obtener una importante victoria que los mantuviera entre los 8 primeros puestos, esa buena actitud estuvo presente por más de 20 minutos en dónde el equipo presionó a su irreconocible rival que sucumbió en ese instante del juego e hizo pensar que el Madrid pudiera superarlo sin ningún problema; ese control blanco obtuvo su premio cuando Rodrygo quien regresó a la titularidad anotó su primer gol en mucho tiempo, ya que llevaba hasta más de 1400 minutos sin anotar, lo cual es un récord nefasto para un jugador del Real Madrid; lamentablemente para ese equipo, el gol en vez de motivar aún más a los jugadores merengues, lo que hizo fue practicar un plan que con la conducción de Ancelotti ya habían realizado, me refiero a replegar, defender y esperar al error del rival y jugar al contraataque, el problema está en que defensivamente el Madrid no está a un nivel óptimo y con muy poco, el Manchester City hizo lo necesario para en pocos minutos superar a su rival y así obtener una victoria más.

El Real Madrid me sorprendió para bien y para mal, en esta versión de antaño me hizo pensar por momentos en el equipo que ganó una champions con una excelente actuación de sus delanteros y de Courtois, pero en este actual equipo no existe ni Benzema, ni Kross, ni Modric y eso hace que este equipo no tenga la calidad para generar futuros y precisos ataques mientras transcurre el encuentro, lo otro es la fragilidad del equipo en donde con muy poco, su rival hace daño y justamente, el ManCity, eso sí con Haaland y demás jugadores, en mi opinión no es un equipo tan dominante como deberia ser, aunque eso sí, es muy peligroso y creo que el Real Madrid subestimó enormemente a su rival de turno lo cual les hizo perder concentración; esos factores los llevaron a caer derrotados y más con una dirección de Xabi Alonso que prefirió practicar ideas viejas en vez de proveer algo nuevo a sus jugadores, en mi opinión creo que la necesidad de Alonso de mantener contentos a individuos que claramente no responden a sus indicaciones puede volverse un problema y por el bien de el equipo será necesario que de una manera u otra recuperen la armonía y todos tengan una misma dirección hacia el exito.

Real Madrid surprised me for better and for worse. Cada jugador de Madrid tiene deuda consigo mismo, su profesionalidad y entrega. Deben dejar de pelear tanto a lo interno del vestuario, unirse y resurgir con la fuerza que les ha caracterizado siempre.
Creo que el Real Madrid tiene jugadores para, al menos, armar 3 equipos súper competitivos, invocar las lesiones en el caso de clubes como este, con tanta cantidad de figuras, son solo una excusa para tratar de contener a sus aficionados que ven cómo el equipo no funciona como tal y menos como compañeros de trabajo.
