in BDCommunity4 years ago

Hello

Everyone, hope your life is going good. I am doing great nowadays. Today I come with another part of tour. From this you will come to know all details about the tour and can see the beauty of Bangladesh. So lets roll into it.

We made the tour this year. There were eleven members in our Group. We all have a common interest in tracking and hiking. And the place we visit this time is The Bandarban District. Bandarban is a hilly District and it’s full of natural resources and beauty beyond your imagination. In this tour we covered the Nafakhum and Amiakhum trail in two days.

From my earlier post you have already known that we were having our breakfast in Bandarban Bus Stand. While we were having breakfast I acknowledged the tour plan. They had already contacted with a guide who would lead us the trail and he would be waiting for us in Thanci. The guide name was "Martin Marma". Martin already booked a ride for us. Its a jeep which is called Chander Gari.

So we all boarded into the Chander Gari after breakfast. The driver told us that if we had photocopy of our any ID card like, NID or University ID card. Some of us had and some of us didn’t. So he told us that we would stopped at a market on the way and from there we could photocopy the ID and can bought necessary things. So our journey started now and its 7 in the morning.
There were few people on the street, the sun had rised, the birds were coming out of their nest, the mist was disappearing, all of us were very excited. Our transport was going towards the town. After 15 minutes ride we were in the market. As it was early in the morning a few stores were opened. We were searching for the photocopy store there were 4-5 store but they were closed. The driver was helping us to find the stores. After searching for few minutes we got one. So we give our ID for photocopy and some of us went inside the market to roam. After I had my ID photocopied I went to the market to buy a pair of tracking shoe. Me and Pavel were searching for a store. We found one and buy two pairs of tracking shoes from there. Everyone was now ready to go. So we board into the vehicle and we were headed for Thanchi.
The road to Thanchi is really a beautiful one. The road is made by cutting the mountains. And road is too narrow to ply two vehicle side by side. Barely two vehicles can cross each other. Without a skillful driver its really tough to drive there. If you lost control we will fall down from the mountain and hit the ground on hundreds of feet down.

On the very start it goes up and up and then down again sometimes there us plain roads but its on top of the hill. This road can be compared to a rollercoaster track. But this ride is further more thrilling and beautiful. The nature, hills are surrounding you and the ride is for about 2 and a Half hours.
At the very first the road was going up and our vehicle was going slow and steady we were going like that about an hour almost. Then when we reached the top we could see the beauty around us. The forests, the natures, hills, the sky, the wind everything preached our hearts. The mountains were really huge. All on sudden the road started to go down we all were screaming to have fun.

The rest of the road was like that sometimes we were going up and then down again. There were many dangerous turning on the way. There were buses and others vehicles too on the road. When its came to cross one another they slow down there vehicles at a very low speed and cross each other gently.

Our Chander Gari was now in a Military check point. We all need to give our ID photocopies and registered our name in the register book. They wanted to know the approximate date when we would return. After the filing we again started to go ahead. The road journey was really a rough one. Some of us were feeling sick. So we stopped on the next checkpoint for 15 mins. It's a army camp.

IMG_20200220_104423.jpgIMG_20200220_104434.jpg

There was a canteen. We drink tea, sweets, and snacks from there. We were roaming around to relax our muscles. Then after relaxation we took sit in the Chander Gari and headed for Thanchi. There would be no check point to Thanchi now. On the way to Thanchi we crossed Nilgiri, Nilachol and some other spots. We had reached Thanchi Bus stoppage. Our guide Martin was waiting for us. Its about 11 pm now. We wasted our times on the way. We got off the Chander gari and started to follow Mr. Martin.

IMG_20200220_120121.jpg

He took us to the Thanchi police station. The officer in charge described some rules, he told us we could keep some of our belongings in the Police station. So we cut some of our burden pack it and gave to Martin to keep the belongings.

IMG_20200220_123046.jpg

Then we take some rest in Thanchi Information Centre. From there we could see the Sangu river and colourful boats. From now on we would be out of network. Our cell phones network would be dead as soon as we started to ride the boats. So we called our families that we would be out of network for two days and asked them not to be worried about it. We again need to entry our ID's on there.

IMG_20200220_115723.jpgIMG_20200220_120240.jpg

And this entry took too long. They called in one by one and take a full details of us. There was another group before us so we need to wait for 1 hour to do this entry. Our lunched have been prepared already. We took the lunch and bought snacks form the Thanchi bazar. And headed for the boat. Before board into the boat we need to entry our name once again. There were life jackets we took some for us and there was a stair that leads to the bottom to the boat. Each boat can take maximum 5 passengers but we were eleven so we divided into 5 and 6 members and took two boats.

The boat would drop us to Remakri and from there our walking trail will begin. And this trail will lead us to Nafakhum.
The road to Thanchi is a amazing memory. The natural beauty that I witnessed with my eyes cannot be forgotten. And thrilling ride, on every step there is danger, but my adventurous soul was enjoying it. There was different smell in the air. The smell of the mountain. The irritating part was the check points. Oh! We need to do the same things for thousands time. But it’s very important for the safety of a tourist. You will be out of network for days. Anything can happen to you. You may have accidents, or encounter terrorists, or could be kidnapped, or the weather could be dangerous. So if they don’t know your ID they couldn’t search for you. On the way we crossed Nilgiri, Nilachol and some other spots and those are beautiful too but not that adventurous. Overall the Thanchi journey was good enough.
I will let you know the thrilling and beautiful sites 2 hours of the boat journey on my next post. Till then be safe, keep safe.
