It is Thursday and the start of a new alphabeth hunting week! So and without further ado, let us get to @barbara-orenya's weekly fun challenge, #alphabethunt Letter J.1️⃣ JOLLY ROGER
The first female stacker I met on YouTube gifted me with a wooden treasure box to store my silver and gold. It is a beautifully designed pirate-themed Box.
The artwork on the box consists of the Jolly Roger image of a skull and crossbones on the lid and painted with the words "Booty Bank", meaning pirate treasure. The Jolly Roger silver bar is my friend's YouTune channel Silver Bar, just as I have my own Silver Saver channel silver bar which you will find at the bottom of this article.
I usually prepare my vegetables from scratch, although pre-cut veggies may be available from the food market.
Julienning is a way of cutting food into thin, even-sized pieces that are similar in size to matchsticks.
This is my daily-use jug for water. I've had it forever. It did not come with a stopper or a cap, so I had to create a cover for it made of cloth net and beaded in silver and blue glass beads.
Like many of you, I keep a personal journal. I mostly record my private thoughts, observations, expriences and ideas on anything big or small which I think is noteworthy..
Do you play board games? A corner in my family room is for Board Games. I like playing board games, and so does a group of my friends. And when they come to visit, we are at it for hours. I have board games and puzzles for my friends' children as well. They play board games while the adults do the same.
An activity that my friends and their children enjoy completing together are jigsaw puzzles.
Can you tell from the photo in which shelf cubby the jigsaw puzzles are and why do you think I put it there?
Junk is anything that is considered worthless or with a very low value. But not junk silver!
JUNK SILVER COINS, also known as US Constitutional 90% Silver Coins, generally refers to old US currency coins whose value is based on the silver bullion value of the silver content they contain. Your gifs really bring your posts to life. I love your J selection. Your water jug cover is lovely. I usually have a jigsaw puzzle going, but end up giving them away after I have completed them. Several of my neighbors like doing puzzles, too!
Jolly Roger and your very cool box is a unique J word choice!
A couple of my friends loved the jigsaw puzzle they've completed with their children that I had the completed puzzle framed as a gift to them the Christmas that followed. That was when I realized that some may not have the time to do a shared activity in their home because of the many other demands of the time in the home and outside of the home or for some other valid reason.

For me J is the ever fatal, Krispy Kreme Chocolate covered JELLY donuts and this could be the last year my Kombat Korset will fit fit me. I'm so bad to myself. There I covered the letter K too.

Yum... jelly donuts, but I do not recall having them chocolate covered. I must try that one. Hmmm... where is the nearest KK around here? I have gained so much, sis. I got myself an above ground pool, so that I can continue swimming. I am taking in many calories and not burning enough, arrrrgh! KK for that donut place and KK for combat corset!

I know right! It is never junk,😜😁 @thedamus! And junk Canadian coins are awesome... beautiful designs too. I love them, except that they are hard to get here in the US and quite pricey.

Early on this year, I learned to play #splinterlands, and now I play it as often as time permits (which is not every day). It is the first online crypto game I ever played. Quite enjoyable and challenging! Do you play Splinterlands, @usabelpena?
No, I don't play it, I've seen it but I really don't know @silversaver888 what is about. I've seen some cards around there and I think they are exchanged but I don't know how.

Your selection is unique and very lively with these moving pictures ! 😊 ...words I didn't even think of like the Julienne or that are specific to you like this Jolly Roger box and the junk silver 😉 I suppose you jigsaw puzzles are in a low shelf so that the children can access them easily and freely..?🤗
Isn't it interesting how very individual the choice of words that each participant chooses in a challenge such as this #alphabethunt? We both have the word jigsaw, and the rest is so varied and depends on so many things that are unique to each individual. I was making salad and julienning radishes and carrots the other day; I always set a jug of cold water on my table when I eat; I accumulate junk silver as a way to save and store value, and because I am a stacker and I have a treasure chest Booty Box with Jolly Rogers, and like many I have a journal. I bet you there will be several with journal as a J word! I noted tat you answered the question, my dear friend... and you are in!

I have to confess that I thought to Jug but as I have A LOT of beautiful photos of that I took in a very special place, well I have decided to make it a whole post on these beautiful pieces...like a collection of some sort 😁 ...yes, I do collection through pictures, not by buying the objects 😄

what is your passion, my friend @johannpiber?
Well, I would say I love to ride my motorbike and to photograph landscapes and nature.
At the moment I try to combine both, but that's not easy with my Harley, because my photography needs some hiking too, and riding a motorbike in hiking gear is not good.
But I'm working on a solution 😉

I have never ridden a Scooter in my life, so I cannot even tell, if it really makes so much fun as the Scooter riders say. All I can say is that many of the Scooter riders I see are much too fast and careless about the other people on the road.
But I can tell on your image that you are not such a hazardous Rider, you ride for fun 😆

Very nice post my sister! I think you put the jigsaw puzzles on the second from the bottom shelf so that kids and adults alike could reach it easily. The one time that one of the boys tried to reach for a game on a top cubby and the other boxes of games came falling down. Always, my sweet sis! I had 3 children.....I know the disasters that can ensue, lol! Many years ago, when our youngest was about 2, I was hanging curtains in the living room. I had to go down to the basement for a screwdriver, and when I got to the bottom of the stairs, I turned just in time to see him cartwheel down the staircase, hit the wall, and slide upside down and land on his head on concrete with your standard industrial type carpeting. In other words, no cushion! It knocked the wind out of him and he couldn't cry. He was stiff as a board in my arms as I desperately blew air in his face trying to get him to suck in some air. Oh, my goodness, he scared me bad! Oh, and by the way, he's the one who jumps out of perfectly good airplanes for fun!🤗🤗💕😘🌸

BEER.a Jigsaw is my fave word (well, one of!) and I absolutely forgot about it, speaking of our alphabet hunt. anyway I could not take any photo, cause for all of the summer we are at the village, and our small collection is left in the city. the board games at this moment are out of the question,the period when we played them with my baby is left behind, and the new one didnt came in. I have got a Monopoly few years ago, but, uhm, this game havent enchanted it (yet). my only babygirl soon will be 11 y.o.
Julienning was a totally new word for me!
Jolly is the word that came to my mind as a possble pickup, but not a Jolly Roger! -- thats a very cool entry.
but the best part -- and you know it - was your lecture on Junk Silver. Junk and Junky are my fave words too, and, indeed, I am one of the persons unaware of the real meaning of this term; if I'd read it in a book, I would consider it as a low value or low condition ( but not worthless! I do know, silver and copper dont lose a value!).
did you create those nice gifs from the stuff of your own collection? really amazing. I dont have in my posession a single silver coin, unfortunately. like barbara-orenya, I prefer to collect images instead of things, and -- I promise -- I will make a post one day about Russian emperors, based on their portraits from the coins (most of which are silver, with a few exceptions). but I will have to rely on internet photos for that, which is not a very welcome thing here :P
