#DBuzz #ESMpicks begins today. I will share posts that I have found to be valuable & would love others to read them too.
@jongolson - CTP main man & leader. He's great in affiliate marketing. This is a great post to help boost #Hive.

I'm a fan of your work @jongolson and most especially the great work you do to build people up, but I don't agree with using the DHF for curation teams.

IMO it would just add to the centralization of HIVE, without people having to place skin in the game to earn that power.

No idea how a curation and engagement team adds to the centralization of Hive?

Well, if you divided 1,000 HP among 500 people for a total of 500k from the HDF, then your right, it wouldn't centralize it much.

But if you give like 500k - 1 million HP to less than 10 people, it WOULD centralize the chain, in that a small group of people could then "censor

Not how I was thinking it would go....Would be a community, leaders from a multitude of niches and communities...Each having a say in what got a nice little boost.

Easier said than done, I know.

Yeah, it's always okay to discuss things.. and I'm not a genius so this is just my opinion.

But another way to look at it, is that the HP you would allot to groups from the HDF would literally take earnings & power from people who actually paid for HIVE

That's another issue 👍

We already experienced this as we had to adjust our plans, and literally got involved in politics on #HIVE in order for our #Dapp to survive, and it took a lot of discussions, time & energy.

Something I gladly did & even enjoyed, but traditional entrepreneur would get blindsighted

It actually gave us a competitive advantage since most businesses would not have continued with the resistance we faced

Had there not been whales with 1 million+ HP, we never would have had issues since most #HIVE users have been supportive since the beginning @jongolson

It was only a select few of less than 10 people, maybe even as few as 5 that almost ensured we couldn't even continue @dbuzz, a project with a good burn rate in the thousands of $USD/month @jongolson

It's all settled now but giving a lot of HP to a few people = more centralized

I don't think you understand what I'm proposing.

It's not giving any 'person' HP...It's giving a community account the power to reward as many people as they can within the communities they know best.

Nothing to do with building another inner circle...My thought it to distribute the votes and support to others who never get a single thing from their experience on Hive.

And I'm very pro-Capitalism....But I'm also pro-people. And I like seeing everyone in Hive win. Because I know they put skin in the game in more ways than just HP.

Yeah, but IMO it should be up to #Dapps like @dbuzz and others to reward the people, since it takes money to get the benefits & influence of HP = capitalism.

There are A LOT of curation groups with big amounts of HP, if the people at the bottom are not feeling it, IMO it should be addressed with the current curation groups, not through the creation of another one.

( Unless someone like @dbuzz or another person buys in for that influence )

Some of our users on @dbuzz were flagged as scammers, spammers and good for nothing's on #HIVE, but now are contributing members of the community, actively on @dbuzz and even won some of our giveaways and got spotlighted.

The only reason I can think of why people at the bottom are not feeling it are:

  • Current curation groups may not be curating the little guys

(they might be though, I have no idea, your insight would help me understand more)

I am personally interested in @dbuzz curating the common people, and we plan on buying more HP for it.

And I think everything will be okay, and that more of the common people will start to receive gains, maxing our rewards per Buzz at $1.00 helps too!

Since our HP gets spread out more versus the $30 - $70 USD upvotes that some people get on HIVE.

@dbuzz just has to buy more #HIVE, and we intend to 😎✌️

NOTE: If you and I disagree on anything, it's just us exchanging ideas, I might be missing something, or I could be wrong.. but this summarizes what I think about using the HDF to distribute HP to communities 👍

Another aspect of it is if you believe in #Capitalism

If you give 100k + 1 mil HP to a group to use for free, it upsets the balance of the community and replaces people who have skin in the game, with at least people who have less skin in

P.S. We plan on investing in more HP

Hey @jongolson,

It looks like @acidyo and @ocdb have a Community Incubator program, this might be what you are looking for!!

I read about it after someone shared this post on @dbuzz 😎✌️

Nah we're good, we'll be focusing on CTP now for this idea.

Ah, okay.

I might have read it wrong but I thought that #ocdb was going to be curating other communities.

Either way @jongolson, thank you for replying to my Buzz's, and I with @ctptalk all the best 👍😊

It can be argued @jongolson that #HIVE is already decently centralized since @dbuzz itself had to battle and negotiate with curation groups and "abuse fighters" who acted as the gate keepers of what can, and can't be on HIVE.

Luckily, we got whitelisted, others failed

What do you think about removing the reward pool and making it strictly level 2 solutions? @jongolson

Posted via D.Buzz

I think there is 6000 HBD a day there to use to help Hive grow....Well there will be next month because looks like the BT proposal got funded...But that's a lot of funds we can use to help support people already here creating.

Which in turn, builds confidence in the community, which in turns translates into happy members. Happy members end up attracting outside attention because they become raving fans.

@dbuzz only supports posts that are 280 characters or less.

Can you divide up your reply into bite sized pieces, 280 characters each?

I'd love to discuss the issue about removing the reward pool since I think it would make #HIVE less attractive to #Dapps..
