Hello, my darlings. This year I was lucky enough to fly on an airplane for the first time. Until that time, I had only seen airplanes in the sky.
I am very afraid of heights and always chose trips that could be reached by car. But this year we chose to go on holiday to the Canary Islands. And you can only get there by plane.
When we found out the dates of our vacation, we began to choose a new vacation spot. Our choice was the city of Tenerife, which is located on the Canary Islands. It's decided. My husband has also never been on an airplane. Everything was new to us. But, decided means decided.
In the evening after work we booked a hotel and bought plane tickets. This was a month before the trip. The tickets were inexpensive for us. We paid a little extra for selecting seats. In order to avoid paying extra money at the airport, we immediately checked in for the flight on the carrier’s website.
And then that long-awaited day came. Our airport was located in the city of Vienna in Austria. We got up at 3 am and went on the first train to get to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. In Bratislava we took a bus that took us to Vienna airport. It was our first time at the airport. But fortunately, everything turned out to be not as difficult as we thought. We had priority boarding. Therefore, we did not have to go through check-in. We printed the boarding tickets ourselves.
Everything at the airport is very expensive and we regretted a little that we did not take some food with us. We had to buy everything at the airport. But it's not scary. We went through baggage control. At this control, you need to put your backpacks, phones and belts on a special tape, and you yourself go through a special scanner. Liquids that are in a container larger than 100 ml cannot be taken with you.
Next came Dutifry. I can’t say that Dutifry has the most reasonable prices. Alcohol is about the same prices as in a regular supermarket. We didn't buy anything there. But, we decided to relax a little and bought whiskey in small bottles. That was helpful. And then they announced boarding for our flight.
After boarding the plane, I felt a little panicked. This was really scary. My husband calmed me down a little. And here it is, the moment of takeoff. It was something. During takeoff, I had the feeling that all my internal organs were in nirvana. It was a feeling of simultaneous fear and delight. With one hand I was filming a video, and with the other hand I was holding on to my husband and screaming that I was scared.
There is a 5 and a half hour flight ahead. I calmed down a little and enjoyed the flight wildly. Will I fly again? Definitely yes. Now I will only go on vacation by plane. On our way back we took off in the evening.
We flew over the ocean and saw the most beautiful sunset in the world. This is wild delight. Through the porthole I saw the endless evening sky, and below us the endless expanses of the ocean. Lonely steamers could sometimes be seen on the ocean. I haven't gone on a long trip by boat yet. And this needs to be fixed.
