I went to work early today to try to get a handle on the leftovers from yesterday. I came-I saw-I conquered! Things were moving along at a good pace for all of the other things I needed to do untilβ¦β¦..
All of a sudden, my computer had no internet! So I went up front to the other one to see if the modem was down. It wasnβt. Then, when I got back to my computer π» it was frozen. I reluctantly hard shut it down. I waited a few and then turned it back on. Nothing π³ After a couple of attempts to get it going, I called the doc to ask him about how to boot in safe mode. Iβm a Mac person and know about it, but this was a Windows 11 Dell computer. After he told me how, I proceeded. It made it to a certain point and gave me an option to reset to factory settings either keeping my files or not. Long story short, I believe it is dead. π Black screen-nothing else.
Itβs going to make tomorrow hard as we are booked and the computer π» up front is a large tower-not movable. Room for only one person at that station and there will be two of us vying for the same space! Iβd take my Mac but the office software isnβt compatible with it.
Enough of that! Iβve got no easy solution for tomorrow-ugh!!

I can see that, but it's actually the soft and fluffy seeds of a plant called fireweed. The bees make exceptional honey with the pollen, so much so, there is a demand for fireweed honey. I've not tasted it before so I don't know, but that's what I hear. Take care friend and have a lovely weekend!

Amen to that, sister! He's getting me a new one and it won't be a Dell! This morning, the doc slammed it on the counter and smacked it on it's butt and lo and behold, it loaded! He's still getting another for me to replace it with, thank goodness! Take care sister!π€π !LADY

Ah ot nice when working and it's suddenly turns against you. It's a hopeless feeling, thinking of the files you may never recover etc if not properly backedup before the crash.

My computer is considered a 'workstation' when it comes to the office software. There is a server that it pulls info off of and I consistently back it up always! That saved me once before when the server gave up a few years ago! Whew!! However, 2 people cannot work simultaneously on the same computer, hence the issue for yesterday. He's getting me a new computer this week! Yippee!!π€ππππππ€
